A good walk about 1 hour each way from Puerto Ayora but worth it to see the Marine Iguanas on a fabulous beach which you need to walk to the end to swim in a sheltered bay

I really enjoyed my visit to Tortuga Bay. The hike is easy, but be sure to pack lots of water as most of it is in direct sunlight and it can get very hot. The farther lagoon is fun for swimming and kayaking (you can...More

This beach is a home of the iguana running everywhere. Round the corner there is very nice beach for swimming. The only drawback is a 2.4 km walk to the beach.

A 40 minute walk from the town centre takes you to this beautiful beach with marine iguanas and lots of seabirds. The surf can be spectacular and this is a great place to relax and unwind.

A 30 minute walk from town down a lovely stone path. Once on the beach we saw more iguanas than you could shake a stick at. We walked down to the beach where people swim, turned around and walked back for a total of two...More

Loved the stroll to tortuga bay along decking lined by cacti. Although the initial beach is off limits to swimmers it's beautiful to walk along and meet some of the amazing locals (fabulous black iguanas). At the end of the beach you turn to a...More

Hi! you can only reach the beach after a taxi gets you to the starting point of a 40 minutes walk (beautiful, but carry your own shadow), or by sea taxi (US$ 10). It's an isolated beach and that's part of it's beauty. It's... More
