I used GalapagosBKtours for private transfers into and out of Puerto Ayora and for private tours to both Las Grietas and to the Charles Darwin Research Station/Galapagos National Park. Eduardo was punctual, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, flexible, and very responsible and professional. (He grew up on the island, and walking around town with him was a fun experience as everybody seemed to know him and greeted him by his nickname.) I felt well taken care of and do recommend his team!

We booked all our galapagos excursions through BK tours. We spend 4 days in Santa Cruz Island last February. Eduardo was amazing. So quick answering messages and so patient with all our very many questions making sure we had the perfect itinerary and fit in as much as possible into the short time we were there! We booked our trip late and we were there over carnival season. Noone else could find us availability for the tours we wanted to do the days we wanted but Eduardo managed! We had the most incredible perfect experience and 1000000% I would book everything through him if I ever return to galapagos which I hope to do! He picked us up from the airport, sorted sim cards for us. The only thing I would say was I thought I'd agreed to book the walking tour on santa fe but on the day realised it was snorkeling only. I didn't mind because I actually thought the snorkeling tour I did was better than the walking tour for what I wanted to get out of it. But aside from that only positive things to say!!!

Eduardo was very nice and helped us with everything needed. You can see he has a lot of experience in planning tours since he knew exactly where to take us and what to do, accompanied us with the best guides and always made sure we are having a good time. The price is really good (in Galapagos terms...) and he has discounts for muchicard holders. Strongly recommended 🙂

Worst dive experience!
When selling the dive to Gordon rocks I tild them that i am an ineperienced dive with 12 dives and they told me i dont need to worry as the dive masters will take care of everything.
Well, we did a buoyancy test, bit as the west was not working, they forgot to check my weight and when diving thy just gave me 5kg (later they claimed it was 8kg).
But still it was not enough. Towards the end of the dive my air ran out and - due to not enough extra weight - i slowly drifted upwards.
I was waving and indicating the dive master that i have no air and i am floating upwards. He saw me, but didnt do anything. he later claimed, he is just a dive guide and not responsible for the security of the clients.
i was now drifting upwards as the air ran out and i knew that i could not even stop for the obligatory security stop. And i came from 20m deep.
My mind was racing. I tried desperately to slower the ascent but there was no chance. Immedialtely afterwards i felt dizzy but luckily no damage on my lungs.
But the worst part is, how the denied any responsibility.
The negligent dive "guide" claimed i had 1 liter of air left - just a blatant lie.
Also the owner of the operational diving company told me, that it was ms fault, i have to check the weight and prevent ascending to fast.
Just a horrific dive eperience.
Other agencies later told me also that you should at lest have 30 dives when diving Gordon Rock because of the strong current.
They just want to sell and dont care about the safety of the customer.
Like the dive guide said: "I am not responsible for your safety."
I never felt so desperate under water.
Mala experiencia.

Good afternoon and thank you very much for your comment.
As we discussed with you here in the office and as you say, we checked the equipment before any diving exploration and gave them the due explanations.
Unfortunately, what you wanted was not to pay for the tour as well as you wanted to do with the lodging.
Our passenger history and comments say otherwise and in our case, as you were told in the office, diving is not just money, it is safety first.

We booked a 5 day cruise and an additional one day snorkeling trip with this tour operator. We realized we paid a couple of thousand more than the other passengers on the same cruise. The boat was old, loud and the food was very ordinary. We asked Eduardo in advance to notify the boat of our food allergies, but to no avail. With regard to the one-day cruise, we again overpaid and nothing was communicated to the boat organizers re: allergies. However, the Galapagos archipelago is absolutely stunning and unique in its kind.

good afternoon dear francis and thank you very much for your comment, just to give some clarity to your disagreements which are understandable but not acceptable since you bought your cruise a long time in advance for the first days of January which are high demand at a direct rate with a discount of 20% to the original price.
All the services purchased were detailed in the voucher and the infringement sent by an inmate, which was fully complied with. The price they paid was for the services they received on a first-class cruise.
In short, we hope you have been able to take beautiful memories of Galapagos.
best regards.
I still have the messages where you threatened me from the beginning saying that if I don't charge you for certain things you will give me bad comments since you told me that I was very popular on Google, let me tell you that you cannot go through life thinking about traveling for free or getting free stuff just for your feedback. fortunately I have many more comments that say the opposite of what you allege in your comment that it is malicious

Eduardo from GALAPAGOS BK TOURS was absolutely amazing, very simple and straight forward. Was collected from my hotel first thing in the morning, BK tours provided all the snorkelling gear, I travelled alone and formed part of a bigger group which is always a great way to meet new people.
I highly recommend Eduardo and his team, the tour guides are very professional and friendly. I have family visiting Galapagos in a few months, will definitely recommend.

We booked a day tour to Isabela months in advance. We were shown pictures of the boat we would be on which was very nice. The day before our tour, the owner switched us to a new boat saying the original boat was full. The new boat was of much lower quality, smaller and not as nice. Turns out the boat wasn't even sea worthy - the Coast Guard got on just after everyone boarded, and told everyone to get off as there was a problem reported the day before regarding a faulty engine. This caused us to miss our entire trip - we never did make it to Isabela. We also talked to the representative of our original boat on the morning of departure and he said there was lots of seats left. So the owner of BK Galapagos lied to us. We found the owner rude and condescending. At least he gave us a refund. So many other agencies to book with in Santa Cruz, don't waste your time with this one.

Our guide was determined to show us everything, and we did! Blue footed Boobies mating, sea horses, tons of white fin reef sharks, black fin reef sharks, turtles, colourful fish.
At the beginning we went for a land mini tour on top of the tunnels so good shoes or beach shoes are a must.
The boat ride there included a quick stop a rock with wildlife.
Very small bag lunch is included so bring snacks and water just in case.
Afterwards the guide downloaded incredible pictures he took and we could get a copy on our USB for free! What a souvenir!!!

8am start. Travel by bus to the boat in 45 minutes. Transfer to the ‘Galapagos Shark II.’ 14 people on the trip with a guide who spoke fluent English and a boat driver and two helpers. Felt very safe at all times.
We visited Seymour Norte and saw an enormous amount of bird life. Blue Footed Boobies courtship in front of our eyes!
Frigate birds puffing their red necks out and juveniles learning how to fly. Various gulls and smaller birds.
Your meant to stay a minimum of 6 foot away from the birds at all times. On occasions, we the nests were virtually in touching distance. Saying that, it didn’t bother the birds nesting.
Into the coach for a walk in bare feet which was a little sharp in places as it’s coral. We were advised not to take out flip flops or sandals as it was a ‘wet’ landing. I wish I had plus take a hat and water into the beach as it’s brutally hot with no shade.
We saw sea turtles plus their nests, eagle rays in the water plus so many different brightly coloured fish. It was stunning.
I’d definitely recommend this tour even at $175-200 it was worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I’d definitely recommend this trip.

Day Trip to Isabela
Do not book with Galapogos BK Tours - if you are looking for a memorable, well coordinated adventure. First, communication prior to departure was poor. We were told we would have a pick up at the hotel, however, it was not our hotel but a different hotel that was over 1 km away. Because we had a very early departure, we located our hotel the night before. The hotel had no idea about a tour leaving from their location the next day. Late the evening before, we received an email telling us to now be at the main dock in town instead – even further away from our hotel. Fortunately we had purchased a local SIM card and had some connectivity. What would we have done if we were waiting at the wrong place?
Upon arrival at the dock, instead of a boat with just our tour group, we were told to get on a ferry boat to Isabela. We had no guide, no information on what was happening, how long the ferry was … etc. We just waited. Upon arrival at the island, we were greeted by our guide and told to wait till everyone was there from various ferries --- 40 min of waiting and the guide never returned. We went looking for our guide and found he had started the tour without us. When we joined, he rudely asked --- where were you? I replied, waiting where you instructed us to wait.
The tour was poor. It was not an English speaking tour, but Spanish based with a little translation into English. ¾ Spanish, ¼ English. My husband understands a little Spanish and he would explain things to me that were never shared in English by our guide. If an English speaking person asked a question and a Spanish speaking person interrupted, guide would answer the Spanish before finishing the English answer. Again, very rude.
After lunch, he told our English speaking companions that they could not stay with the group because there was no room on the boat for the bay tour. They had to stay in town. How could someone be kicked off the tour half way through it?
The places we visited were a major disappointment. The bay tour was very poor, the snorkeling worthless. Minutes after disembarking, I realized, my shorts were on the boat. When I found our guide, he was very disgusted with me for having left something on the boat and let me know it. However, because it was not a private boat, the boat was gone – and the guide was not willing to find the boat and simply said there were no shorts left on the boat.
We went back to the ferry dock and were again, placed inside a hot stuffy cabin to wait for the large ferry boat to fill. Not a fun day.
NOTE: Other tour companies offer private trips that leave from Santa Cruz on a smaller speed boat and allow you to enjoy a day on the water as you travel to your destination. This was the first and last time we will use WeTravel.
