Great Place for Ad Sunset
Sep 2019 • Solo
This beach is closest to town and for this reason, it is very busy. More so than other beaches. Nonetheless, its a great place for catching sunset.

Great time on town beach
Mar 2020
One of my favorite beach even it is not spectacular beach as the others. The reason is that early morning, while being alone on the beach and in the sea I got chance to swim with juvenile sea lions who came to me to play with me . The day before they came to try me shoes. Unforgettable experience. The beach very clean, with plenty of shade, with showers, toilets and restaurant.. Also some street-food stalls nearby, Sea water clear, on low tide be aware of some stones or rocks. Apart from sea lions plenty of crabs, iguanas and fishes can be spotted here. It is easy – minutes walk from down town.

Nice beach close in the city
Jul 2019
This is the closest beach you can get to from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, it's a 15 minute walk from the pier. It's not very big, so it might seem crowded at times, specially when the sea lions decide to rest there. There's restaurants and stores close by.

Swim and relax with sea lions
Oct 2019 • Family
This beach is the closest to town to go for a swim and is also a colony of sea lions. You can seat under the shade of a tree or at the shore and be surrounded by friendly and curious sea lions. Just remember you must keep at least 9 feet distance from them as a measure of respect to their environment and as a national park rule. There is a bar and restaurants next to the beach that offer delicious local food. Bring sun protection and a snorkeling mask, the best way to interact with sea lions is in the water!

Location is everything

On the way up to the San Cristobal Interpretation Center you pas the University of San Francisco Quito / UNC campus opposite this beach. It is very popular and there are several food vendors on site. The showers are a huge plus and the sandy beach wonderful. We were there at low tide and the lava just off the beach caught me in a wave and cut my foot a bit. No biggie but, ouch! High tide probably better. Just a bit of a walk on a boardwalk takes you to a lighthouse looking structure with great views back to town

It is a short easy walk from town. In the morning there is lots of shade and not very crowded. There are seals and iguanas swimming around. The snorkeling is OK. We saw some large fish. The sand is white.

Relax amongst Sea lions
Dec 2018
Playa Mann was one of our favorite beaches on San Cristobal. For once, it's amazing to be so close and relax among sea lions. The beach is easily reached by 10 minutes walk from the city center. Also, it's the only beach with very tasty restaurants at a reasonable price.

Small Crowded Beach
Jan 2019 • Couples
When we visited the beach was crowded with people and dogs running around. There was nothing very special. Other beaches in the area are much better.

A nice beach with good facilities, made magical by the antics of the baby seals.
Dec 2018 • Couples
A nice sand beach with a lifeguard and a useful row of small cabins serving food and drinks (patio de comidas) public toilets, changing rooms and showers nearby. The view of the sunset was spoilt by the miriad boats in the bay, but the baby seals' antics more than made up for it. Watching them explore a TV crew's spare cameras and then take a shower was one of the highlights of our holiday in the Galapagos.
