Hike over and snorkel for free. If the sea lions are active you are in for a treat - no guide needed.

The Blue Evolution dive shop took us out snorkeling here for $25. We had many sea lions swim up to us and play in the water in front of us. Lots of small fish, some coral and lava, pretty good visibility but cool water in April. We saw lots of frigate birds on the hillside. Our first Galapagos snorkel and very enjoyable.

This place was one of our highlights of the Galapagos thanks to a very friendly sea lion. The water is chilly but is very clear and there is a plethora of fish and sea turtles. On a scorching hot day this is the perfect place to relax and take a dip.

Basically walk outside of town to the right along the coast and you will come to mann beach. There you will see signs to the interpretation center. Once through the center you just follow the paved pathway through the cactus and trees. The path will split, to the right you will see a big ridge and the lookout points. To the left goes to playa punta carola. The ridge is easy to climb and once at the top, there will be a trail along the top of the ridge. There are other better look oit spots along the ridge were you will see the frigates in the trees over looking te whole bay. The trail even goes down the other side of the ridge to the other side of the bay, and if you keep following the trail for about an hour, you will come to another secluded beach. The hike is very enjoyable!

After Darwin and Gina picked us up at the San Cristobal airport, checked-in to Casa Iguana Mar y Sol, and ate a heavy meal (seafood rice, aka paella) at Olimpo's, we hiked the Tres Miradors. The hike was a long one with some areas with flat stone walkways and others with wood steps. Of the three hills, the highest one was very forbidding, and all of us but two elected to wait near the beach. Once again the decision to bring the trekking poles was a correct one. The pathways were virtually empty. We didn't go down to the water.

Reached by the well made path from the Interpretation Centre. It is a view point which overlooks the bay and surrounding area. When we were there the path to the actual view point was closed, but we walked up anyway and the workers were happy to talk to us.There is a path that continues on along the coast to other small beaches.

This is a nice hike - the pavers did a great job with creating a trail. The view from the top is beautiful. There are supposedly frigate nests at the top but we didn't see any.

It's a lovely and tiny U-shape bay. Go when the tide is low. I went at midday and the tide was high... too many waves that throw you against the rocks. Careful!
