The beach is around 20 min walk from the center, but there are no signs how to get there, so I recommend taking a taxi ($3) and you can walk back if you want to. There are a lot of sea lions on the beach and you can swim with them as well, but keep your distance. We also saw... More

Snockelling with turtles and sea lions is one of a kind experience you can do at this playa!! Its behind the airport...with a good long walk!!..a taxi from town to the entrance of the beach is only 3 bucks...so if you want to bring all snorkelling gear...its a good idea to take taxi!! I went there twice and both time...i... More

Its about an hour walk from town. Nothing to see along the way so take a taxi for $3. This is the windward side of the island so expect some chop and waves along the coast.

This beach is charming because you can walk and sleep with the sea lions truly feel peace and tranquility only. You must be careful with rocky stones as you can be hurt when snorkeling, I think this place is ideal to relax and unwind.

This beach is located at about 30-40 minutes of walking from the town, at the airport end! Lovely to relax at with some sand and a lot of rock. Sea lions and marine iguanas are abundant as are the frigate birds. Swimming and snorkeling were OK but not brilliant owing to the waves and water movements which meant constantly handing... More

We went to Las Loberias on a Thursday and had the entire beach to ourselves. What a gem. Lots of iguana's and sea lions and the ocean. I highly suggest you visit when in San Cristobol. Take a taxi and stay for an hour...well worth it.

Playa Loberias is only a couple of kilometers out of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the main town on San Cristobal. It is just beyond the airport and marked on Google maps. We took a taxi there in the afternoon after we arrived, spent a few hours there and walked back to town. Taxi was $3 Take water, a snack and sun... More

This is a lovely beach with lots of playful sea lions and also marine iguanas. There is white sand but there are lots of rocks going into the water and there are some powerful waves out past them. Not a good place to swim or snorkel. There's also a 15-20 min walk out to it if you get a taxi... More

Sooo many beautiful animals to see here, great spot for snorkling as well. Quiet beach, beautiful nature what more can you ask for! I saw especially many turtles here :) water was also nice, didn't need a wetsuit.

We enjoyed a most memorable day at Las Loberias. Plenty of active bird life, especially Frigate Birds and Boobies. Snorkelling was brilliant. Plenty of fish life and a group of sea lions that played with our group for 30 minutes. Highly recommend this destination. If you want to maximise your experience on the Galapogos I suggest taking your own snorkelling... More
