This beach is located at about 30-40 minutes of walking from the town, at the airport end! Lovely to relax at with some sand and a lot of rock. Sea lions and marine iguanas are abundant as are the frigate birds. Swimming and snorkeling were OK but not brilliant owing to the waves and water movements which meant constantly handing... More

We went to Las Loberias on a Thursday and had the entire beach to ourselves. What a gem. Lots of iguana's and sea lions and the ocean. I highly suggest you visit when in San Cristobol. Take a taxi and stay for an hour...well worth it.

Playa Loberias is only a couple of kilometers out of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the main town on San Cristobal. It is just beyond the airport and marked on Google maps. We took a taxi there in the afternoon after we arrived, spent a few hours there and walked back to town. Taxi was $3 Take water, a snack and sun... More

This is a lovely beach with lots of playful sea lions and also marine iguanas. There is white sand but there are lots of rocks going into the water and there are some powerful waves out past them. Not a good place to swim or snorkel. There's also a 15-20 min walk out to it if you get a taxi... More

Sooo many beautiful animals to see here, great spot for snorkling as well. Quiet beach, beautiful nature what more can you ask for! I saw especially many turtles here :) water was also nice, didn't need a wetsuit.

We enjoyed a most memorable day at Las Loberias. Plenty of active bird life, especially Frigate Birds and Boobies. Snorkelling was brilliant. Plenty of fish life and a group of sea lions that played with our group for 30 minutes. Highly recommend this destination. If you want to maximise your experience on the Galapogos I suggest taking your own snorkelling... More

We walked from the beach along the coast to the cliffs (there are stakes which mark the way). Go in the afternoon, say after 2pm as there are likely to be more birds etc. We were not disappointed. Fantastic scenery and plenty of birds, iguanas and even some sea turtles. Wear strong walking shoes as part of the track involves... More

An easy half hour walk from town. Where the blacktop ends, the trail begins. The first part is sand, but the following is walking on lava rock. Bring proper shoes. Great big waves crashing on the rock covered beach at first. There is one cove for snorkeling where you'll see turtles, rays, trumpet fish and of course... the ever present... More

The sea lions were so friendly, the beach was so beautiful, the sun was so hot, the company was great, but unfortunately our guide was a conceited dick

Came here early morning at low tide which was good for tidal pools but not for snorkeling. Saw one seal and a couple of marine iguanas but saw so much more at other beaches. Not too long of a walk from road to a calm beach.
