The guided tours were amazing. we visited the equater and the guide was wonderful. we was a little late getting there but they stayed over for us to visit. The next day we flew to St. Cristobal Galapagos. There we met our guide Ronnie. He was the one who made the trip memorable. Ronnie was there for the whole time until we left The Galapagos. The fishing was great we caught some tunes and amber jack on the first day. The next day we went after the Strip Marlin. We had an awesome time. We raised a lot of Marlin, hook up with several and brought them up to the boat. We were able to bring on board a nice 350 pound Strip Marlin for a photo shoot and release back. This is what we came for, it made our trip. Thanks to the Captain and crew of Patricia and Ecuagringo Fishing for making it happen.

I really appreciate the honesty and knowledge Braden has of Galápagos and the fishing out of San Cristobal has been so much fun for Striped Marlin, and many other fish species! There is so much beautiful sea wildlife there, so many examples of God’s amazing creation! When fishing we see many types of animals fishing themselves, Sea Lions, Dolphins, Boobies, many species of small sea birds, large Sergeant birds. Many good eating places there and so few people and prices there are equal or close to US! The service we got at the hotel Playa Del Mann from Jose and Lucina was superb and we strongly recommend staying there! The Sea Lions are so amazing with their babies right up on the beaches with us! The beaches are amazing and Snorkeling with sea turtles, all kinds of fish and sea life is all in walking or short taxi ride!

My family wanted to do a trip to the Galapagos Islands. We are not fishermen but we had heard from a good friend that Ecuagringo did custom family trips to the Galapagos Islands. We visited San Cristobal, Isabela and Santa Cruz islands. In total we spent 2 weeks. The tours were better than expected all wild. Due to Covid there were not a lot of tourist which caused us to have most of the attention. Ecuagringo was professional the whole way and their staff took care of every detail. We snorkeled with sharks, rays, sea lions, penguins and all kinds of fish. It was an awesome vacation. No need to go on one those boring cruises when you can see almost everything and even better with local crews.

I fished from San Cristobal Island earlier this year and procrastinated loading up a review. No excuses but finally got around to it. When I first thought about finding a new place to fish with my 3 buddies I called Ecuagringo after being recommend by a friend who has fished several time with them. I spoke to Braden Escobar at length several times. Everything he said as far as logistics, lodging, flights and services was on point. The fishing was even better than what we talked about. On a 5 day trip in February we released 28 striped marlin, 1 black and 2 blue marlin on our first 3 days of fishing. The last 2 days we bottom fished and caught groupers, jacks and all kind of beautiful reef fish. This was a memorable trip. Our host had some of our catch prepared on our last night and it was wonderful. If you have the time take the snorkeling trip to Kicker Rock. Definitely worth it!

I went down on a last minute trip as I was doing a job in Guayaquil. Ecuagringo’s staff hooked me up with Captain Gus and we fished 3 days aboard the On The Hook. I had never caught a marlin and it was my life long dream. First two days were spectacular for striped marlin and so I went tuna fishing on third day. Day 1 I caught and released 9 striped marlin 150 to 200 pounds. My arms were hurting and I lost probably another 10. Day 2 I released 6 striped marlin and missed about 8. Interesting was that they call September the offseason. On the third day we trolled for tuna and wahoo. I caught 7 yellowfin tuna about 20 to 55 pounds. They made incredible sashimi on board. We closed out the day with 3 very nice wahoo over 40 pounds and a big jack. I also missed a bunch of fish so the action was nonstop. Ronnie was my host and as I was the only angler and things were slow due to Covid19 he became my drinking partner when I came back from fishing. Everything went as promised and smooth. The team worked very hard to please. Ecuagringo took care of all the paperwork and kept me up to date with the protocols for Covid. Book with confidence.
