Volcano with recent activity, area contains also smaller volcano Chico. Our tour was guided by Simon Cook, who was very knowledgeable about the volcanoes and also about the daily life on island.

I think there was ONE restroom after we reached the Sierra Negra caldera. None of us needed to use the restrooms the entire way so despite trying to stay well-hydrated I guess we weren't! I saw a few of the men wandering off... More

It depends on the time of year you end up going. We were there the end of December which apparently was a milder temperature time frame and most likely why we weren't super thirsty. We each probably drank around a liter so... More
