This is a great tourist attraction and worth the climb. The statue, the cool breeze and the great views are worth the effort.

Great views from the top. A long walk up stairs to get there bit will worth the walk. Take some water with you to enjoy at the top.

A great outing, and place not to be missed. Please remember though that transport might be a problem, we caught a taxi out there and walked most of the way back

This statue was given to the Timorese people by the Indonesians.....an apology for invading them. Go early and watch the sunrise. It is a steady climb but a basic level of fitness is definitely a must. There is no access other than the steps so...More

Climbing the staircase leading to the Jesus statue is a bit of a must do for anyone visiting Timor-Leste. The views from up there more than make up for the physical effort. That makes it hard to understand how can the town management let the...More

We’ve walked up to the statue several times and as one on East Timor’s tourist locations it needs people to regularly pick up the rubbish that others feel is ok to drop. As tourists we picked up several bags worth one morning. The beach on...More
