From the very friendly receptionist to the interesting (and varied!) exhibitions and the beautiful architecture this museum is well worth a visit! It displays one of only 5 remaining life jackets from the Titanic, and the only one on display in Europe. The official rooms...More

Even before you reach the grounds you can tell this museum is not the best. Building could do with a little tlc. It's 30kn to get in which is a little bit expensive for what's inside. Grounds are nice but not looked after very well

Beautiful old building with some interesting exhibits but overall the museum could use some improvement. The newer exhibits were pretty good but the older ones could use a little better signage. The electronic displays were not very user friendly. It was hard to figure out...More

Looked for some maritime themes, but only 1-2 rooms are about it. The rest 18 rooms are about some croatian history. Not too bad but expected a little more from the name. Luckily catched the “Croatian Museums Day” so the entrance was free.

Lot of interesting stuff to see - and the building itself (a former governor's palace) is pretty impressive. Short walk from the Korzo, certainly worth the visit if you're in town and like museums.

This museum is in the Governor's Palace and is so much more than a maritime museum. Elaborate ceilings and chandeliers in the rooms, lots of finely crafted furniture. Paintings from many different centuries. Uniforms, swords, sabers, guns and rifles on display too. Be sure to...More
