This is the best place to go to the beach if you are in Rijeka or even Opatija. I was there on a day trip from Zagreb and wanted to visit the closest beach that would also be worth the travel. I took the bus from the Zagreb bus station and it took me 3 hrs to get there. It was definitely worth it. I was recommended to go to Opatija instead, but I am happy I didn't change my mind, because there are formally no beaches in Opatija, you have to jump to the water straight from the stones or the port. While in Soblicevo you have a decent beach, although a little too small, it's still very beautiful and peaceful.

This beautiful beach lies hidden only a few minutes away from the centre of Rijeka. In the summer it is very crowded, nevertheless it is beautiful, concerning it's in the middle of the town.

Sablicevo is a very tiny beach of Rijeka. It’s located to East from the centre and available to approach easily on foot as well (approximately 2,5 km from the city centre).
Sablicevo is a short pebbly shore line, mainly ideal for couples and elders since its simplicity. Of course it’s suitable for families with children as well but the water deepens pretty quickly.
It has shower and toilette and changing cabins.
There is a little bar with good drinks and music😉
P.s. the sunset is extremely beautiful from this spot🌅

We went there early on a Sunday morning as I read in the reviews that it gets really crowded, and it did! So we only spent a couple of hours and left.
It's super clean and the water is crystal clear, freezing at first but so nice and refreshing.
The beach is not sandy, it's actually all rocks and small smooth stones, so you'd need water shoes, which unfortunate we didn't bring.
There is one bathroom and a shower out there, which where okay.

Its not very wide, around 100 m, but nice, clear water. You can walk around 5 m inside and still stand, then the depth increases. Water was felt cold as soon as sun is gone. Its a pebble beach, but its still walkable inside water without bathing shoes. Parking is available on top of the hill, from where you have to walk down the stairs.there is place for shower, dress change and toilet, all free. When we visited, some kind of drilling work was going on in the surrounding hill, which was creating lot of dust and noise, don't know how long it will continue. No tree on the beach, so you should definitely bring your own sunshade if you are looking for one.

This beach is within walking distance of Rijeka, but better reached by bus number 1 as the walk is along the highway. It fills up very early, so get there before 10.00 at the latest. It has a free shower and toilet facilities and even a small beach bar. Great for a refreshing morning swim, not a place to spend a whole day as it gets too crowded by noon.

The most famous city beach of the eastern part of Rijeka is located very close to Hotel Jadran and is well connected to the center of the city either by city transportation or by private car. The pebble beach is very popular, and it can be very crowded during the season, but for me it is even more attractive in the winter period when you can enjoy the sea and the sun, wile walking along the shore.

It is small but very nice. We were there in the middle of July, top season, and it was not crowded. The sea seemed super-clear there. It is deep very soon as you go to the water, so not for children or people who cannot swim very well.

Nice beach, clean considering it is a town beach.
Very clean water, but in our case, it was extremely crowded.

Good to visit
