Plitvice lakes private excursion from Rijeka or Opatija

Every season of the year brings with itself a different spectacle for the senses at the Plitvice Lakes. The Plitvice Lakes are famous for their 16 cascading lakes that form a gorgeous ring of water. The stunning scenery in the park was created by the flow of water over limestone that over time created travertine barriers that resulted in waterfalls, lakes, and caves.
The Park was designated a national park in 1949 and in 1979 UNESCO entitled it a World Heritage Site.
Enjoy the wonders of nature, an astonishing view, clean air, nature’s sounds and the sheer joy of just being somewhere so vast and diverse. Standing there, you can really say you have become one with nature. Plitvice National Park can rightfully be called the most magnificent place in all of Europe. Lunch at a local restaurant on your own. Continue the walks through the park and forest and enjoy the beauty surrounding you.

Going to, or coming back from the market and fish market, make an obligatory stop in this bookstore. It was recommended to us by my Belgrade publisher, we have entered without many expectations, but we enjoyed everything: books that have witnessed "translation culture" of socialist Yugoslavia, interesting editions from Kingdom of Yugoslavia (and we bought one published in Zemun by forgotten publishers - and association that does not exist today), explored old postcards from Dalmatian Riviera, interesting graphics / I had to force myself not to buy, as we do not have any more walls to hang new things ... We entered an interesting conversation with the owner and his collaborator from Kostrena, were offered a coffee... and this visit really complemented our understanding of Rijeka and its complexity... Highly recommended even for those that do not speak local languages...

For those who love old books, comics, even records, this is a great place to visit and have a look, although the majority of the selection is Croatian. I've found some great finds -- newer, older, and antique, namely books and comics, but they also have pictures, maps, postcards, and school books.

The second-hand book shop is one of my favorite places to visit in the city. I am a great fan of a good book, and here you can find wide and excellent choice of all sorts of books, from fictional literature to specialty manuals, comics and even records. It has a good choice of book in foreign languages and it is a great place for promoting new books and authors. It is a simple place dedicated to books and their readers, a dream for every fan of the written word...

As a lover of books, I really enjoy coming to this place. It doesn't always fulfill my desires (hey, I'm finicky about books, what can I say) of reading but you can always find something that you like on a reasonable price. The place is cute and simple and the books are all waiting for someone to give them a good home.
