Beautiful beach of Mošćenička Draga
Jul 2021 • Couples
Beautiful beach of Mošćenička Draga, which promise bathing pleasure at its best.
But also the historical old town of Moscenice and the many fantastic sights in the surrounding area.

Ondine taxi boat, Hipopotamus, Captain Dejan Viškanić
Aug 2020 • Friends
Mošćenička Draga is an amazing small fishing village that has so much to offer. Besides great food, amazing beach and the most beautiful clear blue see, you can take a day trip and explore the wild side of the Island Cres, the picturesque surrounding islands of Krk and Rab. We booked a day trip with Ondine taxi boat /trip with captain Dany, that is the main caracter and the funniest guy I have meet. We started in the morning easily at 11 am, no rush, with lots of fruit, drinks, food and a good music. 10 of friends and family with no main plan, we haded to the open see. The view to Mošćenička Draga from behind was just breathtaking. But what was in front of us was even more inviting. Blue see, blue sky, bunch of islands, really what a nature. Music on the boat, some rakija (Croatian short drink), sun and wind in the hair, had, whathever felt amazing. You can sit behing, or go on the sun infront or even climb on the roof. You can do whathever makes you feel happy. We first stop at the wild beach on island Cres, swimm a bit, had some great sausage with hommade bread, homemade tomatos, snorkeled a bit around, had fun jumping from the boat, danced, laughed and then haded to town Beli on Island Cres. An amazing little town at the beach and up on a small hill. You can walk up or drive with train. Up is a great restaurant, museum, church, and everything is in stones. Down by the beach there is also a great restaurant, always some music, locals playing, so some relaxed dancing and singing moves away from it all are just flipping up your vains and butt. And you would not believe it, a zip line just accross the sea from one side to the other. Now that you really have to try. Awsame. And so the day was slightly going to the end and we haded back. When we though we have done and saw all, the islands, the beach, under the sea, old town, driving with train, zip line, having some dance etc, that was not all. The sunset, and not only one, but 3 of them, while driving by all this islands parts took my breath away. I climbed on the roof and had a time of my life. I even stopped making pictures, I stopped thinking and just admired. The music was just right, the wind, it was warm enough. Now that was the day to remember.
So when in Mošćenička Draga find captain Dejan, "Ondine" and prepare yourself to one of the most joyable trips that you will definitely enjoy and remember.

Pictures great; reality not up to them
Aug 2020
The pictures are clearly taken out of season. The main beach is ludicrously crowded:no concept of social distances. Chaotic. Not friendly , no simple parking, just screaming kids and people piled on top of each other.
The photos are mostly down the coast and not actually very accessible for swimming
So very disappointing.

I love this little village, nice beach, nice people. You can't find any luxurious place, but every service is OK. Try it!

Wonderful very small town
Oct 2019
We went here with our tour. Small unique town with LOTS of stairs. Located on the Adriatic Sea. Nice restaurant just outside the city walls.

Cheap coffee at the beach bar
Jul 2019
We go to Medveja - the next village and we take bikes with. To Moscenicka Draga we ride a bike, as I've seen, the parking is there pretty terrible and the beach crowded. The coffee at the little beach bar was cheap, I like that place. But the personal at the restaurant at the beach was very unfriendly as they realizet, that we don't want to have a complete dinner around 9 pm., only an ice-cream cup with fresh fruit and they didn't make it! They sent us away! Good food you can find at the other end of the beach, long walk from there, there is a pizzeria by the sea. Not only pizza and pasta, but also sea-food for good prices. They don't make gluten-free, but grilled sea-food is without glutene. That place is reccommended, the beach restaurants not really. And don't forget to buy fresh fruit, olive oil and rakija from the farmers at the marketplace on the way to beach. Not overpriced and good quality.

Water is the only thing you can enjoy the rest is chaos
Aug 2019
Desk on the beach without assistance. Called 3 times the phone number without answer. Wait 40 minutes. It’s clearly stated that reservation for sun beds is valid until 11 a.m. but seems not to be applied. We got 2 beds in the middle of a chaotic beach with towels all around so close to each other that you need to step on them to reach your place.

Clean water too many people
Aug 2019
A charming small town is overcrowded by masses of tourists. City has couple of good resturants, my favourite is Zijavica. Post office, bankomats, a food store, pharmacy, dentists and a doctor are all available. There are several beaches - Sipar, St. Ivan and nudist beach close to Hotel Rubin - all without natural shade except a tree here or there. Some mistake the nudist beach for an exibition beach. Sea is clean, and in general the town is clean.

Amazing place, best choice to visit (near Opatija)
Jul 2019
On of the most beautiful, nice, clean beach side in Istria with good services. Walking a bit further (nice 10 min walk) next to the beach side you can found a less crowded beach with good restaurant and good location to relax. Tip: if you want free parking, arrive early and try to find place near by the road: LJUBE MRAKOVCICA before the "roundabout", in GPS: "Free parking" named. Disadvantage: + 10 min walk to the beach

Overcrowded
Aug 2019 • Family
We decided to spend a holiday in Opatija region, because of this beach. But we did not even manage to get there, there was a traffic jam on the road leading to the parking. We tried again later that day, again, no parking available. We just jumped out the car to see the beach - it's nice, but even at 19.00 crowded..
