Pleasure is to swim in this clean and precisely warm sea. It is green because it is a sandy bottom. It's the law. Nearby there are pubs, restaurants. Coffee is good, food too.The staff is friendly.

A few restaurants and bars on the concrete beach. Not really pretty to look at but nice for a cocktail.

The views are beautiful but I just don’t see laying on concrete on a beach. So although the walk along the beach is lovely with plenty of restaurants and shops, it is quite touristy. If you’re walking along The promenade, you can’t miss it so...More

We did not actually sit on the beach but took several walks through the beach area. It has a beautiful view across the water, and lovely buildings bordering the waterfront. Very nice beach feel with crystal clear water.

Slatina beach is in the center of Opatija. Nice to take a quick swim othervise too much concrete. Enough place to lie down. Around you can get drink and food.

Opatija is a very turistic place, with lots of good hotels, restaurants and facilities. If you like that, you're in the right place. For those who like nature, wild beaches or less people...don't go

An intersting beach which is very varied. The eastern end is more suitable for couples or families who enjoy swimming and sunbathing, with a better quality of bars, cafes etc.The western end has a large play area in the sea for kids, presumably paid, with...More

I enjoyed the public beaches in Opatija. It is maybe not your typical Croatian beach, not those ones with sand and crystal blue water which you see in Instagram, but you can have fun. It is mostly concrete and with a ladder to go to...More

This is the main public beach in Opatija & can get very crowded, but seems to remain clean. Like many beaches in this part of Croatia it is mainly a mix of concrete structures with areas for swimming. However, the water all along this coast...More

Very spacious "beach"/plateau. There are a lot of stairs into the water, but do mind the sea urchins! I can't stress this enough! Especially when the sea is a little rough and you can't really see the bottom. The water is very clear though and...More

You are not planning to spend any time in Istria. It is such a stunning area and a few night there would be good. You don't need 2 night sin Plitvice. Apart from that, your itinerary is incredibly rushed. You will spend more time in transit than doing/seeing things.
