When visiting Atlantic City, there is one thing that comes to mind..gambling and casinos. Unfortunately, this does not leave anything for kids or families to do.
However, this treasure on the boardwalk does feature Arcade Games that kids will enjoy. It's located between Bally's and the Hard Rock on the Ocean side of the boardwalk.

We went before Hurricane Sandy so it was a while ago. Spent time walking up and down the pier and going into shops along the way. Nice place to go with teenagers. There were families with young children as well. It was in the middle of summer so there were a lot of people milling around. The salt water taffy was very tasty and a good remembrance of the Jersey Shore.

The best thing about the arcade are the go-carts. They charge $10, but worth it sharp turns and passing other people. It is a cool rush.

one of the few 'kid-centric' attractions in AC.
in Schiff's Central Pier is an arcade [skeeball, slots & other games of skill for coupons/tokens that you turn in for tacky prizes & glittery ceramic figurines] They have South Jersey's largest go-kart track, it does include a bridge in the circle '8' track.
but it is outdoors. On nice days [or anytime the weather permits] in the off-season they open the go-kart track. I have ridden them on Black Friday 2007, 2/23/08 & Boxing Day [12/26] 2006.
I love the 99cent store in the Central Pier, they often have electronics & other useful things on closeout there. I bought 'ear buds' for my mobile phone there, they really came in handy when NJ put the ban on talking on cell phones while driving. If you need sundries [sunscreen, bamboo beach mat, tylenol, toothbrush, razor, etc - things you MEAN to pack but forgot, try the 99cent store at The Central Pier

If you are ready to feel some speed, then make sure to visit the Central Pier Arcade and Speedway. It features an indoor arcade, packed full of your favorite games. But outside is where the excitement really begins. Open all year around, the Nascar style go karts race over and under, with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. You may also try your skill at the paintball challenge, which offers fun for the entire family!

I have a really big big complaint....I made a point of asking on here and calling Central Pier to see if prepaid credit cards were able to be use as payment for the Go Karting and I was told YES! Well guess what, when I gave the prepaid credit card for payment the lady told me it was declined and I told her there was no way because I had just used it....The lady was very rude and just plain mean....I am glad I had cash with me....This is something that should not have happened....Get your act together people! My daughter had also lost money in one of the machines and the guy pretty much told her she was a liar and there is no way she put money in the machine....I was there with my son watching her and she did put money in the machine...She walked away upset and I do not blame her...The whole trip to Central Pier was a disaster...Thank god they had a great time on the rest of the trip....Never again would I go there and I am not recommending it to anyone who asks...
By the way, I usually NEVER complain or post anything like this but I am upset and want people to just watch their backs when it comes to making sure you call and make a point of asking certain questions and getting a response obviously just to get you to come and give Central Pier your business...

This arcade has gone SO downhill over the years! I use to visit this arcade when I was younger with my family. I would spend hours playing the claw machines and walk away the happiest little kid with a prize in each hand. Now?
The claw machines are SO insanely rigged that it's not even funny. They will drop anything and everything you pick up. Don't even bother playing these claw machines, you will NOT win a thing. Oh you will pick things up time and time again but the claw with drop it time and time again as well. The place is big, the place it clean, the place LOOKS impressive but I have never been in such a rigged arcade before in my life. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Go down to steel pier and place the games there with your kids. They are not exactly the best but you have at least a CHANCE to win something there. You have NO chance to win here. I can't speak at all of their other games as I did not bother venturing any further in after the claw machines did me wrong.

Not worth anyone's time. Dirty bathrooms, employees seemed to care more about themselves and their cell phones.
