This is one of the best breakfast buffets in AC. They do have a 2 hour dining limit. We went around 11, they switched over to lunch at 12 so we were able to enjoy both for about $20 per person (if you do not have comp dollars). The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The chefs were readily available and did not appear annoyed by my questions concerning my food allergies. The selections were plentiful. This will be our go to stop from now on.

Went for day to Borgata as we were previously going to be staying there. The casino was ok but I did expect more. They do have a good selection of food in the marketplace. We got the jitney bus service which costs 2.25 $.

Was here over the holiday sunday/Monday in January. Not much action on the casino floor as restrictions are keeping people away and for good reason. They cut off beverage service at 9pm!! Tried to get a drink at long bar at 9:15pm and cut off also at 9pm. Very little excitement on the casino floor, no bar service after 9pm, no entertainment and just lifeless after midnight equals a early night!! Probably going to wait a month or two until I return in hopes of ease of restrictions that is killing this industry. But closing early does not help their cause at all!!! Nice room and Amphora lounge was very good.

This was my first time visiting the Borgata property.
Room: Our room was not cleaned upon check in. There was mold in the bathroom in the first room, and the second room was dark, lights didn't work, there was candy on the floor.
Food: The staff at the VIP Lounge Buffet were actually great. Friendly and helpful, especially Arleen. The food at the buffet was great the days that the beef Brisket was on the menu, but the rest of the days there the food lacked in variety, taste, and freshness. I found mold on bread, and I shared this with the management and the chef. The chef's response was great. He quickly removed the molded bread baskets, apologized, and you could see his workers looking at items for any issues. The manager came over, with a slight attitude, as if we were the ones in the wrong. That was bad customer service.
Customer Service/hosts: The customer service was simply, lacking. I spoke with managers and hosts, and in trying to resolve issues, again I received attitudes from staff. As paying customers this does not make me want to return. Rachel V. started off as a great host, until we actually needed her to respond. The other host (Asian woman) was so rude, and she was the only one available to speak with when we needed a host. She demonstrated that she was not listening to us. She seemed to look irritated that she was even called to the desk. She then started to say, she should be helping us with our issue, that it was "Rachel's job to help us."
Gaming: I am a platinum level player, and while there we lost significantly. This makes me not want ro return. I have been platinum for a few years, and with the high loss ratio and bad customer service, I can't recommend this location or MGM overall to anyone at this time.

Why is the MLife system so off? Was there for the first time this past Sat until Mon driving all the way from NH (6 and a half hours) to rack up tier points. I had already read that Borgata's system was slightly off from the MGM properties in Vegas but I had no idea just how off until I went. I spent almost 2k between games, lodging and food which I had charged to my room and earned 0 Borgata slot dollars, 40 something in Express Comps, and my tier credits it seems barely moved up. I have been to Vegas twice, in Oct and most recently 3 weeks ago both were MGM properties where my play was clearly rewarded at both. Though my room there was absolutely lovely, it's not the goal at any casino to just stay in the room itself. I honestly feel the trip was a waste of time and $$. I even went to the MLife Desk to inquire why such a lack of rewards and the gentleman at the desk just shrugged and gave no real answers and simply said it could take 24 to 48 hours to fully reflect, which it clearly hasn't changed.. Again, the system is more then just off it's flawed when it comes to any player rewards. Both my friend and I decided that the stay was not worth the long drive at all. The visit was an eye opener to stick with MGM in Vegas where they very much show their appreciation to their patrons.

Most horrible experiences I’ve had in gambling so far is in Atlantic City. Let’s start with I’m professional roulette player I’ve been doing it a lot .From all places I gamble Atlantic City is wore they don’t gamble they just scam you and take it all. I’ve been 3 times here same income same process they don’t let you ever bee in profit so you stay trying to win and they give you minimum wins when they do so you don’t go in any profit and leave. They scam really boldly and I don’t think u can even call them gambling. So I’ve been jamming all bored for 4/5 hrs straight and leaving few number with no bets they will make those numbers hit most ow the time. I tested multiple times switched numbers also. If you bet on roulette I can tell you a number with no bet or minimum bet will come up. I hade 8 jack pots number for 6 hrs of jamming not one came up but leaving one number with no bets came out the most and I switched it around also. Anyway I’m 10k down from this place I have never ones in there was in profit as soon as I came trough the doors I was in -. This place doesn’t provide gambling they just take your money and they take a lot. I would suggest to never game in Atlantic City . I sure will not come again.

My husband and I visited Borgata on Monday, May 23rd and I was really disappointed at the smoke in the air, even in the nonsmoking sections. We have gambled here many times and have never smelled the smoke as we did on Monday. In the past we have walked in and said it smells good in here, now all you smell is cigarette smoke. Also, in the past, we felt separated from the smokers while gambling in nonsmoking sections. Now, we smell smoke even in those sections.
Why is a casino the only place where you can be subjected to secondhand smoke? Why don’t the health concerns of the nonsmoking gamblers and the employees matter as much as a nicotine habit? We feel like we need to go to Delaware Park or Harrahs New Orleans if we want to gamble and not sit in secondhand smoke.

I checked in at the front desk on 11-22-22 and left my wife iin the car with her service animal. The woman that check me in name FITIMAH . I went back 2 car 2 tell my wife 2 go 2 room and I will park in garage. She walked through the lobby to the elevator with a security guard said she need a purple sticker for service animal to go 2 room . Wife called me immediately. .. I went right to the hotel lobby to the person I checked in with, and she told me since I didn’t bring the dog to the front desk when I checked in even though it was on my reservation handicap room, and a service animal she said there’s no way she could let us stay .then I asked for a manager and she told me there was no manager available.. then she told me and my wife at the front desk if we was to give her $40 for the dog she can get us a sticker and we would be good for the night. . I went downstairs the next morning to talk to the supervisor and she said she will get to the bottom of it.. very nice lady. I talk to explain to her if she went review surveillance cameras between 650 and 705 pm . My vacation was ruined. And I feel like I was violated and extorted. They took off my resort fee, but I feel that was a slap in the face. They ruined my night at the Bogata where I’ve played multiple times, and had a great time till this experience happened.. . My wife spent 20 years in the military active duty. Happy Thanksgiving. Bogata

If you want to work up an incredible thirst, gamble at Borgata! You can gamble there for over 2 hours without a single cocktail waitress coming to offer a beverage. You can try to flag them over and they will roll their eyes at you, because who knows, maybe they have better things to do?? You can even ask other employees i.e. floor managers and slot machine techs where the cocktail waitresses are, and they will tell you it’s not their department.
So if you like to be extra thirsty and lose lots of money in the process this is the place for you!!!
On a separate note Dinner at Izakaya was great, but overall we spent over $600 here in less than 4 hours and didn’t get a single beverage offered to us while we gambled. Ridiculous and rude. We left and went to a different casino and had a beverage within 10 minutes. Big difference. We won’t spend another dollar at Borgata Casino gambling. If you don’t have a players card, I wouldn’t bother either. Horrible Experience for a new guest that might have been a repeat customer.

I know school was out and a lot of people brought their children to AC and the Borgata, but you cannot bring your children in the casino! Everybody knows that but some people thought they didn't have to obey the rules and restrictions. And please keep your children out of the hot tub. One: It's too hot and two, adults are in their to relax, not hear screaming children who are jumping in and out of the hot tub like it's a pool. The fact there was no life guard should have made your parenting skills kick in, especially if you are lounging and the kids are away from you.

Families with children of all ages can enter N.J casinos for dinner, spa, pool and all non gaming areas. Under 21 are just not allowed on the casino gaming floor. If someone looks younger security will ask for ID and if under 21 they eill be escorted off the gaming floor.

Anyone know about Borgata event center? Looking at Aerosmith tickets. Seating chart is a VIP area then GA/standing room only. It doesn’t look like you have a specific spot. So if it’s GA, do you have to get there really early to get a spot I’m standing room only? I would think people will push to get up front. Just trying to imagine this since standing room only tickets are $300.
Of course I missed the presale so Sears selling out & im wondering if I got a seat, how far back is seating section. When you have such a big GA section in front of the seats. I would think everyone would have to stand by their seats anyway to see?
Anyone familiar w the venue please help! Thanks

Those that have stayed at The Borgata and The Water Club-what are the differences in the rooms? Are the Water Club King rooms the same size as the Borgata rooms? Are the Borgata bathrooms as nice as the WC ones-large shower, separated toilet area?
We’ve only stayed at The Water Club but it won’t be available on our next trip.
Thanks foe your input!

Any hotel room in the Borgata are nice. Perhaps not as luxurious as the Water Club but they are very nicely appointed. Roomy and neat bathrooms. You can compare the rooms on the website which will state the size of the room and show pictures.

are there any matinee shows to see?
I do not think they have matinee shows. For that matter not much at all goes on during the day there.

We've been going to AC for 6 yrs, always staying at the Taj Chairman Tower. Thinking of trying the Borgota this September, booking a King, std room. We are staying at Caesars for a couple nights and thought the Marina area might be a nice change- any thoughts on this hotel/casino?

Lowered my Rating to 3 Stars.
Without any announcement that I have seen, the Slot Dollar reward has been reduced. It was 50% of Express Comps, now it is 40%. At check-in there were 2 seperate lines, one for Black Card holders. Now there are 2 card levels on the same line, increasing wait time. The same change has been made at the Buffet, again increasing wait time. On our prior trip, the TV in our suite was not working properly, (first time ever) and had to be reset after waitng 15+minutes on the phone to reach the Front Desk. Check-out by phone led to the same or more wait time on the phone to reach the Front Desk.
Consequently, I have lowered my rating to 3 Stars. In the past, I have always found the Borgata to be the best Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Unfortunately, now I am questioning that assessment.

What is the minimum age for entry into the casino?
Denise P
manahawkin, United States24 contributions
Any age can enter the Borgata from infant to seniors, however if you want to gamble you must be 21. If you are under 21 you must stay on the marble flooring. No one under 21 can be on the carpeted area, as that is where the gambling areas are. Also if minors are with adults, the minors can not sit or linger on the marble floors while the adults gamble.
