This is because there are beggars, fraudsters, and solicitors, et cetera. They know you are a tourist and are able to easily pick you off. They especially confront the unsuspecting visitor who is walking alone. If you get a camera out to take a picture,...More

Atlantic City Board walk may not be the best ocean front board walk, but it is OK and should be safe and a lot of attractions.

I came to A.C. as a kid long before any casinos were built. It was my parents favorite place! Uncertain of the casino impact at first, it was a magical place for a young woman. As it took its downfall in past years I had...More

The boardwalk is great. Our best time was spent shopping. We visited the walk and drive out to Hamilton mall.

The rain limited our time outdoors, but hot or cold, the boardwalk is still one of the most romantic places I’ve visited. The eating places from jimmy buffets to Morton’s Steakhouse makes it one of my favorite places to hang out!

We did not expect the pier to be open since it’s winter but the Ferris Wheel was operational. They had a holiday deal of $11 and change for adults and kids. Regularly it would be $15 for adults and $12 for kids. Photos attached were...More

The boardwalk is a delightful respite from gambling if you can avoid the seagulls attacking you. Jogging in the morning on the Boardwalk and smelling the seabreeze is invigorating. You do, however, need to be aware of your surroundings. There is some security on the...More

Atlantic City has outlets stores and also the board walk has stores open. There are other things to do in Atlantic City verses the old casinos. There is always something going on like shows.

Most shops and restaurants are open on weekends. All the hotels have restaurants as well. You can park in a lot for around 5 or $10 or one of the hotels. Prices range from,$10 to 25

If the tram is not running they have the guys with the hand carts that push you up and down the boardwalk. I know they work all year.

ATlantic City Boardwalk in April 2016 (7 Replies)
Hi, I am planning a weekend getaway in Atlantic city next weekend. Has anybody been to AC this weekend (04/22 - 04/23) or the last weekend (04/16 - 04/17) ? Is the boardwalk and shops open ? Was hoping for options of things to do beyond the casinos. Thank you

The Boardwalk is always open and most shops should be open as well. The outlets and other shopping areas definitely will be open. End of April is a beautiful time to walk along the Boardwalk, might be a bit chilly early in the morning and later in the evening so pack a jacket or sweater.

Parking in Atlantic City ~boardwalk (11 Replies)
Hi there We are looking to come to Atlantic City in a week, I am checking hotels and have a question on parking. If you don't stay in a hotel on the boardwalk, but stay a few miles away and want to drive to the boardwalk is there parking lots to park your vehicle and what is the cost of them. I ask as that will make the difference in were and what hotel we stay at. Thank you PJohns

You can park at any casino's garage, weekday they're usually $5, weekends they're around $20 but I have found the claridge lot to be $5 sometimes. What prices have you come across, maybe we can help you choose your hotel.
