A few days ago our group of 16 finished a 4 day hike to the Ciudad Perdida. As previously mentioned, this is a physically challenging hike, but it has turned out to be the highlight of my 4 week travel in Colombia. If you are...More
We had a great trip with Expotur. Everything was very well organised, including good beds and good food. Tourguide Cesar and translator Santiago really made the trip special. Cesar knows the region, the people and the history very well and is a very skilled narrator....More
I went to the cuidad perdida with expotur in August and it was an amazing experience!

Yes, helicopter is the way, otherwise, when I did it in 93, bumpy roads on a truck, a walk to the guide's family house for the night and a day trek in semi humid jungle (biggest avocados in the wild) I've ever seen, bumped into a walk of Kogi people, and a climb of about a 1000 un-even steps. Same on the way back, downhill tho
