The boardwalk was fun to walk with nice photography opportunities but was still expensive when off season. Decided not to visit the pinball museum as you had to pay a lot to get in. I'm used to paying only to play the games.

Went on a warm (72 degrees) day in Feb. We have not been here since 1980 as we were told nothing was left, so we decided a quiet Feb day would be a good time as it was no longer empty. Traffic from getting off the Parkway to the boardwalk took 25 min. Moved 3 car lengths at a time.... More

First time at the Jersey shore. Boardwalk very crowded and lots of people-watching (and dog-watching!) but surprised at how few places were open considering the crowds on an unseasonably warm weekend.

Charming, historical, peaceful. Seeing the history of some of the buildings truely takes one back in time. It is my hope that one day there could be restorations made. Sad to see pieces crumbling, work unfinished, repairs needed. It is truely a piece of history that can never be duplicated. Convention hall is art. Art that can never be repeated.... More

The Asbury Park boardwald has been revivied in recent years. There are now many interesting dining choices whether you desire a casual meal while stolling the boardwalk or enjoying the beach or a more refined meal.

I don't even remotely understand why this is considered an "attraction." It's a boardwalk on the Jersey Shore. Each one has it's own "personality" that is dictated by each community's standards. These standards determine the ratio of bars:restaurants:schlock shops:carnival games: food purveyors & types of food purveyed. Either you like a beach town, or you don't. But hey, whatever, it's... It was okay. Nothing super special and reminded me of the Atlantic City one with fewer attractions along the way.

Went back to Asbury Park while visiting Spring Lake. Last time visited must have been around 30 years ago. After hearing about its near demise, I was glad to see the park is starting to come back. Our early morning trip was pleasant and we had a very nice walk along the boardwalk. We didn't stay for the whole day... More

I love love love this boardwalk. It's being fixed but it's slowly losing what makes it so original. I loved coming here to shoot pictures but it's slowly being renewed and the old history is being replaced with new. I kind of have mixed feelings about what is being done. The carousel house is now a skate park with ugly... More

Sparse crowds, quiet, clean beach, adult crowd, long maintained boardwalk, safe, vintage paramount theater had a production of the Nutcracker, nostalgic Convention Hall was running a holiday bazaar with a Beerfest in the works for Jan 28/29th, no crazy loud amusement park atmosphere, in the process of rebuilding, sit down restaurants like McCloonie's Grille & Asbury Oyster Bar , try...
