I had to go to Asbury Park boardwalk to recreate the famous sopranos “dream scene!” It was really cool to see Tillie at the wonder bar. I love the nostalgia of Asbury park boardwalk. In the theater building they have stores for shopping. There are a bunch of restaurants and a cool arcade called silver ball. It was cool seeing the Stone pony where Bruce Springsteen started.

This boardwalk reminded me of Long beach boardwalk in Long Island, NY. The big difference is the all the good places it has to eat here and other things to do like the arcade and mini golf.

Even in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, this boardwalk is a hoot. The people watching alone makes the trip worthwhile. But the great assortment of street food--ice cream, Korean (yes, Korean) tacos, and funnel cakes--plus the fine (and not so fine) dining add up to a tasty and eye catching experience. Even in mid September, the beach was full of fun loving, social distancing pods of people taking in the sun. And the Jersey beaches offer some of the widest, softest expanses of sand on the East Coast. Hamptons eat your heart out! There are a host of other distractions from pinball--one of the largest assortments anywhere in the country--to mini-golf. So there are plenty of ways to pass the time if your not hungry or sun-loving. Take the trip and check out the Boardwalk Springsteen sang about in Sandy. Madam Marie is still there waiting to tell your fortune!

My wife, daughter and I visited the Asbury Park Boardwalk in August 2020. It was very crowded and not everybody was wearing a mask. To the north end is the Grand Arcade with shops. To the south end is a tunnel which leads to Ocean Grove. The Asbury Park Boardwalk has restaurants and shops. It is worth a visit.

Asbury park beach is quite nice for a day trip. Plenty of parking. And some decent food on the boardwalk.
