a family friendly area to walk on the boardwalk or set yourself up on the beach. The closer to the large convention like building the louder the crowd and music. Place is really nice and loads of food options for all.

I had to go to Asbury Park boardwalk to recreate the famous sopranos “dream scene!” It was really cool to see Tillie at the wonder bar. I love the nostalgia of Asbury park boardwalk. In the theater building they have stores for shopping. There are a bunch of restaurants and a cool arcade called silver ball. It was cool seeing the Stone pony where Bruce Springsteen started.

My wife, daughter and I visited the Asbury Park Boardwalk in August 2020. It was very crowded and not everybody was wearing a mask. To the north end is the Grand Arcade with shops. To the south end is a tunnel which leads to Ocean Grove. The Asbury Park Boardwalk has restaurants and shops. It is worth a visit.

My family and I were on a road trip and wanted to visit a beach. We were sent here from Pleasant point beach which is a half hour south and told it was a dog friendly beach. This was false. There was security monitoring every section of the beach making sure no animals stepped foot in the beach. We were really bummed that we had to drive another half hour to find a dog friendly beach. If you do have a dog or a pet do not bring them here. They will not be welcomed.

Spent the day at the beach on Tuesday. The beach is beautiful but the biting sand flies left welts all over me and everyone I was with. Make sure you bring bug spray with you and reapply often.

Ok, my film geek strikes again. Stopped in to visit Asbury Park, after visiting the Quick Stop, in Leonardo, to pay homage to Kevin Smith and the View Askew Universe. Asbury Park Boardwalk providing locations in Chasing Amy and Dogma. Although I came on a sub-zero February morning, and hardly anything was open, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The boardwalk is bookended by two glorious buildings; the Convention Center and old Carousel/Casino. Sadly both are looking a little forlorn, but hint at days of glory past.
I stopped in for brunch at Pop's Garage, which was lovely, great food and very welcoming

The water was beautiful and so was some of the local scenery. Unfortunately however, lots of garbage like cigarette butts and food wrappers strewn amongst the sandy beach. On top of that the occasional land vehicles and advert airplanes made it hard to even hear the ocean! Don't think we will be returning sadly.

I've been to Asbury beach on several occasions, I don't mind paying the $8.55 to get in the beach, I don't even mind paying the $15 per day meter parking because the beach is clean and not too crowed. What I do mind is the parking officers abuse, I parked on what appeared to be a legal angle parking, was not obstructing anything, paid for the day and when I came back I had not one but two tickets for $54 each for "parking direction", everyone next to me had a ticket meaning signs were unclear. I'm paying them because I'm not loosing a day of work to go to court but shame on you Asbury Park, one summons is understandable but two!. The board walk has a few restaurants and bars, ok but overrated.

My boyfriend, daughter and I took a one day, 6 hour round trip to Asbury park beach. We left very late in the day but still agreed to go. We got there about 3pm but still had plenty of beach time remaining. The parking was atrocious- all the lots/ street parking were full but we drove around several times finding free parking. Worth the wait! We gathered our stuff and headed to the beach area/boardwalk. I'm familiar with Marylands beaches were the beach is always free but jersey charges to get on the beach. You needed cash to buy a ticket. My boyfriend hunted down a ATM and got us tickets. 12 and under were free.
The beach was pretty packed- I'm not always down with packed beaches but whatever. We found a spot and set up camp! There was a full playground on the beach for the kids, and trash cans all the way down the beach every few feet.
The water temp wasn't too bad and your neighbors were friendly. We stayed on the beach till it literally got dark and loved it. Afterwards we packed everything up and scanned the boardwalk to find something to eat. There wasn't many choices but it was getting late. Can I suggest the Korean tacos?!? Omg! Delicious. They weren't to far from 1st/ Ave, reasonably priced. The boardwalk/ night life looked like a happening place to be!!
Also, past the crepe shop on the left are public restrooms. Bonus! My child was tired so we left around 9pm with the 3 hour trip home. I prefer Maryland beaches but this was the closest to our home for a day trip and it turned out okay.

Dinner by the boardwalk followed by a stroll on the beach is the way to go on a warm summer evening. We concluded dinner with crepes from a local vendor on the boardwalk sooo good! When your ready to up your game, make your way to the Wayfair rooftop lounge for drinks in a cool trendy ambiance setting.
