Glass blowing

Hot Sands glass blowing was great - my son loved to watch and he was able to participate a bit. They have a selection of glass crafts you can make.

Took my wife for her birthday. We both made drink glasses. What a great time. I'd highly recommend this for almost anyone. The artists that helped us were super attentive. We both really enjoyed ourselves. Highly highly recommend this.

Hot Sand is an incredibly unique experience for you and your child while you are at the beach. If your child is 9 or older they are welcome to learn how to blow glass and create their own work of art. Young children are able to make a glass tile that can later be burned and mailed to your home.... More

While having lunch in Asbury Park, we walked along Cookman Avenue, and walked into this great store. People were blowing glass and you can buy items on display. We bought a mini surfboard for our niece, and they engraved it for free, and told us how to paint the engraving so it would show.

I brought my son who at the time was 7, to have a glass cast made of his hand prints for my mothers birthday. The employees had an abundance of patience and knowledge! The cast came out amazing and he even got to make his hand prints blue! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for that something different!

My wife and I visited Hot Sand recently, intrigued by the unique experience offered there. We arrived at opening on a Monday and were first in line so there was no waiting. I could imagine it being a little more of a wait on a weekend. Anyway, I opted to help make a small blue vase. It would cost $40,... More

You don't have as much control over your art as you might like, but it was a lot of fun and the glass itself turned out beautifully. Great fun way to spend a rainy day at the beach.

My kids love going to Hot Sands. First off, it's just neat looking at the process of glass being made and molded. Second, it's fun to be a part of the experience. Although it is quite expensive and age limits for diffrent activities (for obvious reasons) it is worth the treat. The few times we've gone, we have visited the... More
