Jenn Hampton, originator of the Wooden Walls (murals) Project and other art initiatives in Asbury Park, provided an exuberant, informative, fascinating tour and talk, starting from the Carousel House/Casino, through Convention Hall, to the "Pink Octopus" at the northerly end. Jenn's knowledge of processes, the artists themselves and the varied works of art made for a not-to-be-missed experience. Call Jenn at her Parlor Gallery to make arrangements: 732-869-0606.

I took some visiting family on the Ghosts and Legends tour in July, and we had a great time. The tour guide, Sean, was informative and entertaining. We had such a good time that the following week we (my husband and kids, ages 13 and 9) took the Boardwalk ghost tour. It was just the right amount of creepy and history that both my kids enjoyed it, but no nightmares after. Based on my experiences I would go on any tours that the Asubry Park Tour Company offered, and would definitely recommend them to anyone else.

Talk about an outstanding value. For about $12 you get to hang with people who give you real insight into Asbury Park. Our tour leader, Sean, and his trusty assistant, Joe, provided tales of the paranormal within the historical context of Asbury Park. It is as much history lesson as it is recollection of all things slightly weird.
I'd recommend this to adults and kids (who have the patience to listen). Just a real joy to get out there around dusk and learn things like why the Stone Pony isn't just a bar. In the future I will try to go on their other tours.

I highly recommend adding this to your list of "things to do" while in Asbury Park. The creator of these tours has written books about the paranormal history of Asbury Park. The stories are fascinating and super entertaining. It is a great thing to do to learn not only some fun ghost stories, but also to learn about the histories of buildings around town.
She has started a tour company and I can't wait to take some of the other tours to learn more..You could totally take the ghost tour more than once, so, I assume the rest of the tours will be the same way..Super fun and informative!

I took my daughter and her friends on the tour and we all had such a great time! I knew a lot of the history around this area but was pleasantly surprised to learn way more then I thought we all would! Our guide was informative, yet hilarious so kept the kids entertained, and at no time did we feel bored or like we were wanting it to end.
I'll definitely go back and glad I decided to have the birthday party with them.

I took a ghost and history tour of asbury park this summer. WOW... the amount of information was incredible. I have lived here for 10 years and never knew the history of this little city. The tour gave insight from when the Indians were here to what has transformed the city today. Great folklore stories as well as documented facts. A must do

My family and I took the boardwalk tour and had a great time! It was educational and fun and a great way to spend a summer evening! The stories were so interesting and it was a great way to learn about Asbury Park. I always loved AP but learning of its past made me fall in love with the city even more. The tour guide was informative and funny and I would definitely recommend it!

I have been coming to Asbury for years- in all seasons- and the Ghosts of the Boardwalk tour I took this past weekend is easily one of the best things I have done in town. Amazing history (worth it for that alone if you aren't a big ghost person!), some creepy stories, and incredibly knowledgeable and fun guides. It's also the perfect length of time to do before dinner! I could go on and on, but the point is, take one of these tours! I can't recommend it highly enough.

I took this tour for the first time in February and it was a very special experience. I have never had a paranormal experience before and was curious as to what would happen on this tour. Little did I know, there are ghost stories either in very close proximity to or AT multiple locations I have resided or rented in this town! My favorite part of the tour was feeling close with my group by the end. In sharing chills or laughs about the paranormal, we developed a connection and that was really cool. The additional background history lessons were also phenomenal. Our tour guide went over the top for us. Now I will look out for my new ghost acquaintances on my daily walks around town.

I have been lucky enough to go one a few tours with Asbury Park Tour Company before and have never been disappointed, but this was the first time I used them for business purposes. As I anticipated, it was a great experience from start to finish!
Every year I take some of my sales reps out for a fun day out of the office. This year we spent a day in beautiful Asbury Park! I spoke with Kathy at Asbury Park Tour Company and she customized a tour just for us. We wanted to check out downtown Asbury while getting some local history, ghost stories and facts about Asbury's deep musical roots.
I would recommend APTC to friends and colleagues. The tour was easy to set up, affordable and a lot of fun!
