About Toucan Cafe Tours
We're a tourism cafe, tour operator and museum, all rolled into one. Over 30,000 people have joined us on some of Medellin's best tour experiences. After enjoying a cup of Colombia's famous coffee why not check out where it comes from. Visit our interactive coffee museum, take a coffee tasting workshop or visit an authentic coffee farm on a day trip from Medellin. You can with Toucan. Even if you're not a coffee fan, we operate some of the best tours in Medellin. Visit the famous graffiti murals in Comuna 13 and hear the story of Medellin's transformation whilst supporting a local community group. We also do Street Food and Market Tours as well as a Guatape tour. On Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-9pm we organize Medellin's most popular language exchange. Practice Spanish with locals who are learning English. The event is organized in conjunction with Toucan Spanish School, the largest Spanish school in Colombia.

Alba is a passionate, inspiring and courageous person that elevates her capabilities to bring a voice and deeper understanding for what she has lived through and people we visited within the Barrio. The photos (that should be repaired and stabilized) make Alba's stories all the more visceral and compelling. The Barrio is a constant work in progress that deserves the recognition for its achievements and cries out for the support from the local government and businesses to be global model of transformation. It was a privilege to join with Alba for this tour

We were really just expecting 5 or 6 things to try but it was over 10 and we travelled around a few different areas (walking and via metro, tram & cable car), eating ‘until the money ran out’ as the guide said. She also threw in bits of history and was open to questions about current life in Colombia and Medellin. We hit a bit of rush hour travel coming back and it was more like 5 hours than the 4 advertised but we had no complaints! She also very kindly made sure we got on a bus back to the Toucan Cafe when it started raining once we got off the metro - this just added to the adventure! Would highly recommend 👍🏼

Absolutely do not book with this company!! We were scheduled for a coffee farm tour and, less than 12 hours before we were supposed to leave, we received an email from Toucan Cafe canceling the tour with no explanation. They offered to accommodate us on a tour 4 days later. It was extremely rude and inconvenient. We were also considering booking the graffiti tour with this company and I’m so glad we didn’t since they treat their customers so poorly.

Hola! Thanks for providing feedback, at Toucan the customer experience is very important to us. Whilst do our best to ensure all group tours depart, sometimes, we unfortunately have to cancel a couple of group tours due to an insufficient number of participants. at this time as a result of the low amount of tourist in Medellìn due to the COVID-19 global outbreak, Whilst we communicated this clearly to you on our terms and conditions, and you were given a full refund, we do understand your frustration and we apologize for the inconviniences. Please let us know if you are still in Medellin so that we can offer you a free tour.

I loved the stress free version of using the metro. The cable car views were awesome. Alba did a great job of making sure her "kids" were full and safe.

We visited the Minorista Market on the north side of downtown. We sampled many fruits that I had never seen or heard of, and I am a well-traveled foodie. Our guide knew how to pick the ripest and most delicious fruit. She also knew which stalls and vendors had the best selections. Altogether we sampled about 20 fruits. Very educational and enjoyable!
