WOW WOW WOW, what an amazing Tour and fantastic Tour Guide, thank you WALTER.

I rarely go on organised tours but I am so glad I went on Comuna 13 Graffiti Tour as the sites and sounds were outstanding and I will remember these forever.

WALTER has such a huge knowledge of the Comuna (he was brought up there) and everyone seemed to know him, which enhance the feeling I got of belonging.

He is putting back into his community by showing us tourists the area and sharing his huge knowledge of the Comuna's history....he even sponsors one of the huge painted graffiti pieces.

I do not want to spoil your experience so all I will say is this is by far and away the best 4 hours I have spent since I have been travelling Central American in the past 4 weeks.

Thank you WALTER and the people of Comuna 13 for being so friendly and welcoming.

The tour was absolutely fantastic. Oscar was an amazing guide, providing us very clear, informative and in the same time personal accounting of the history of the Comuna 13 as he was grown down the hill. For being a graffiti artist himself and having contributed to some of the wall paintings in Comuna 13, it was as if an inhabitant opened us the door of the Comuna and welcomed us. We were there my wife and I and our three kids, and all agreed it was our best experience in Medellin. A must.

We contacted Onofre on the advice of a friend who had highly recommended it to us, we were not disappointed!!
From the start, we feel the infectious enthusiasm of this resident born in the neighborhood, who has lived there for 35 years! Onofre knows everyone!
That day, there were only 2 of us, so we were allowed a private tour.
We started in the tourist part, with an explanation of some frescoes, then very quickly, Onofre offered to take us to the more authentic and less "prepared" part of the neighborhood to feel the daily life of the inhabitants, discover the alleys and small brick houses, which most free spins do not do.

We made several stops, often to taste exotic fruits, grilled ants, panela etc. or exchange a few words with local residents and children, always very curious.

This visit will remain engraved in our minds, one of our best travel memories!
Better to go during the week, not on weekends, to avoid the crowds.

This was an incredible tour with lots of information about the history and culture not only of Comuna 13 but also Medellin in general. We booked a private tour to accommodate my 81 year old Grandpa and they gave us a reasonable price. Our guide was Oscar who was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. If I could give 6/5 stars I would.

Sebastian (Crazy Face) is one of the best tour guides and performers that I’ve ever experienced. His personal knowledge of Communa 13 and his connection to the neightbood made us feel like we were with a celebrity. He made the tour very personal, welcoming and the history relatable. The experience of understanding the transition of this neighborhood from what is was to what it is, was insightful and inspiring. I would highly recommended!!

For a price of 90.000$ (!), I was expecting more than just a very short info talk about the comuna and mostly sitting around in busses, cable cars and waiting for other group members to finish buying their coffee. Other tours are way cheaper and probably offer the same or even better service

We booked through "Get your guide" and had a really fun tour with English-speaking guide Walter, who was highly competent, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable (injecting some of his own personal experiences into the discussion). It was a busy holiday weekend, but Walter did a great job keeping everyone together and showing us quite a lot of Comuna 13. Highly recommend this tour!

Great!! And it was led by Sara, who speaks perfect English and knows everything about the community! Even better: Casa Colacho is a central local project, with lots of volunteer work and offers for young people - rap, street art, art, cooking... Anyone who books here supports it. And at the end of it all, they get to spend their own "day" spraying.

The tour guide was very nice, but overall a giant waste of time and money. It’s outrageously overpriced my local standards. Very little of the actual tour is spent looking at graffiti. Instead, hours are spent on public transportation and waiting around and taking breaks. Moreover, the tour doesn’t go anywhere that you couldn’t easily discover as a tourist by yourself, even if you don’t speak Spanish. I’d highly recommend avoiding.

You can run around museums, parks, and other tourist attractions, or you can get your hands dirty with the people of a city. That's how I prefer to travel. This was an excellent way to meet locals and learn more about what makes Medellin tick. Andrés was an incredible guide; he seemingly knows everyone everywhere, which makes this more than just a tour through one of Medellin's formerly most dangerous neighborhoods. I had all sorts of questions (it was just me and Andrés) and I had so many curiosities piqued—and Andrés was receptive to all of it. He even provided suggestions on what I could do after the tour if I wanted to learn more, and helped me find a museum that was 1000% up my alley as a result of my expressed interests. This is NOT a "poverty tour" like they do with the Brazilian favelas. This is an introduction to a neighborhood, its past and present, and the people in it. It was invaluable and I would recommend it to anyone who travels for experiences and learning.
