It was a very recommended place to us by locals in Medellin. The place could be very nice but it ia not taking care of. It is insecure due that homeless stay there during the day and maybe night. A lot of vendors and garbage around the area and no presence of security guard or police at all in a busy time of the year like New years week. The mayor and city needs to take care More of it.

Needs litter cleaning more regularly but the idea of being in touch with the earth is a good one . We drove there so not sure how far it is from Calle 10

Don't waste your time going there. Some homeless where washing their clothes there. Not even a spot for a good Pic when my wife and I were there. Spend your time elsewhere. Medellín have to much to see/do to go there.

We came here today having seen this on the "must see" lists for Medellin. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest metro station, but we assumed it would be worth it... well, it wasnt. Really, it's just a pile of gravel on the floor. Quite a big pile, admittedly, but not really as exciting as the name suggests. There was also grass and stone pavement nearby but not anything you'd want to walk without shoes on. There's also nothing to help you clean your feet after they've got dusty and mucky from the gravel. There did appear to be 2 fountains that maybe you could walk in, or wash in, but neither had any water in them. Go to the botanical gardens instead.

We went here in the late afternoon and I'd told my kids we were going to get to go to a fun where they could run around and play. I thought in pictures I'd seen water to play in, but there wasn't any. There was a big plot of sand but nothing to climb on or do. It was a pretty disappointing end to a day.
