An excellent exhibition of this artists work. There is a library on site if you wish to find out more about the artist and his relationship with Medellin, and many helpful staff who will also offer their knowledge.
Beautiful old house , murals, paintings and sketches.

This place was recommended to us by our city tour guide. It is a very special house. The walls are all painted with magnificent murals. It tells the story of 1950 Medellin.Beautiful!

Quiet small museum in a lovely home which showcases the art of a significant Colombian painter. From his watercolors of his time in Florence to his return to Medellin and his social activist paintings, the art is intriguing and fascinating. The staff is friendly. there is a small snack bar outside on the grounds. There is a significantly unimpressive gift counter -- they really need to up their actions on that front. The cup I bought there was actually cracked when I bought it! Best to just donate!

This museum is located in the house where the painter lived. It is well preserved and there is an extensive collection of his work. It is outside the tourist area, not far from the Botanical Gardens. If you like art this is one of the best museums in the city. They sell a complete book of the artist's work and there is a small sitting area in the garden to buy drinks.

Didnt know who this guy was. But after a look around I can appreciate why he is so popular here. The place works on donations and it is Casas original amazing home transformed into a art museum. You will see people taking art classes while you are there. I throughly enjoyed looking at his range of art work even though nothing is in English. The walk to museum is quite interesting itself.

First time we have visited this great house designed by one of Colombia's true renaissance men. Nel Gomez was an artist, architect, engineer and urban planner. His house is a marvel and pays homage to his art with murals everywhere. It is also a community center with a library and free art classes. The architecture is quite lovely and restful.

His house, museum is a little out of the way, but very fascinating artist. Also, worth the visit for the neighborhood with some beautiful wall murals. The taxi ride down the hill really gave a view of the everyday lives of the people.

The house is beautiful, also the impressive collection. This place, --close to it- Moravia Centre by Salmona, the Swimming Pools by Paisajes Emergentes and Parque Belen Library are the best places to visit in Medellin, the true alternative to an overrated and poor architecture quality buildings.

One of Medellin's most famous 20th artists. The museum is his house, studio, and gallery holding many of his most important works that cover the whole of Colombian culture. Located in the barrio (Comuna 4). A memorable experience not soon forgotten.

The house is about 15 minutes walk north of the botanical gardens but is not easy to find from the Lonely Planet map. We asked a policemen to who told us to go up a hill away from the main road and followed his directions and there is was. Very interesting life story and body of work although we preferred the watercolours to the oils and the studies for the murals to the murals themselves
