it is a nice place to go hiking, do some exercise and have a nice view of the city. The entrance is for free.

Besides the great views of Medellin from the summit of the Cero Volador, there is also a collection of exercise equipment along the upper loop for the many athletes who climb to the summit as part of a workout. Good place to visit if u are mot in a rush, you can go jogging, running, biking, mtbiking or birding, have a fruit salad or walk the dogs but beware, the surrounding are not very safe, go with company if u can.

I live in the Estadio neighborhood of Medellin and really enjoy my proximity to Cerro Volador. I can walk from my house (near Obilisco) to the top of the hill in less than 30 minutes.`It's really good exercise and when you get to the top, you're rewarded with an incredible view of the entire valley.
