It is a beautiful park with thin long concrete columns of light. I went there during the day and I think it still looked beautiful. I would suggest not to go there at night because it isn't in the safest area of the city but if you are willing to take a chance, I'm sure that it is beautiful at... More

The idea behind many of Medellin's public spaces is to recover and rehabilitate dangerous areas. This was a success. Now a plaza with the theme of recovering the area from darkness, this square is very symbolic and you can take excellent photos as well.

It's a beautiful park, it has a monuments like sticks or pipes vertically located, and look so good! The park has sits public toilets, and offers a relaxing space in the middle of the city and the commercial zone called "El Hueco". It's near by San Antonio's metro station.

An open space with columns that light up at night. Apparently it is not too safe at night but I didn't have any fears there during the day so worth a quick visit then

Medellin was trying to conserve energy. So the Lights in the park never went on - even at night. So there was not much to see.

The lights are not turned on right now due to the nation-wide cutbacks in the use of electricity and water. That said, we took some awesome photos of the pillars (unlit) and the moon overhead, and spent a good amount of time across the street with the sculptures in the municipal offices.

It's an open public area with dozens of lighted columns, which look very cool at night. In the day, the first sight of it usually brings the quesiton, "What's that?". Difference between lightning and lightning bug, night and day.

This is a technical libary operated by the public utility company of Medellin. It's right next to the Parque de las Luces. The building is beautiful both on the outside and on the inside. The use of classrooms that criss-cross at the second floor is visually stunning. While the focus here is technical they do have other things, such as... More
