Even though I am from Colombia and love to explore different towns and try different experiences in this beautiful country, I do believe their is not enough warnings of how dangerous this city has become. We hiked up the Cerro Nutibara to visit Pueblito Paisa and had a great time.(Arte trail)
Unfortunately on our way down the other hiking trail (Flora y Fauna) close to the Circus trail, we were mugged by someone who had a gun and a knife. Our phones were taken and my purse.
We just handed everything he asked for as in Colombia, there is no hesitation to hurt the tourist.
Please visit this place on weekends only when there is a lot of people around.
We made the mistake to come on a Monday and there were not lots of people around. Please check that you do not carry your passport or CCs with you as that could be a great loss when traveling abroad. Fortunately we knew not to do that already

Taxis cant drive you up to the top. They will leave you at the bottom and you have to walk up the hill. When you get up.... most things are closed. There are only few over priced souvenir shops opened.

The only thing worth here is the view from the hill. However, you need to over look at the ran down grounds.

Nothing special, besides one of the emblematic places of Medellin that was the terrace where Medellin could be seen in all its splendour, some intelligent sent to close that terrace. It ended 80% of the experience of the hill motivate. I do not recommend it at all

After walking a considerable uphill distance, upon arriving I was very disappointed at how little was there. The church was closed for construction & I found no museum other than the attempt to re-create a small Colombian town. If this is of your tour, why not, but unless you have a lot of extra time on your hands, there are many more interesting places to visit.

This is a staircase away from Pueblito Paisa, nice views of the city. Take a taxi all the way up or you’ll have a steep strenuous walk from parking lot. Not worth it.
The view area is a big open space but it’s not really romantic.
There’s a plan to renovate the area
You’ll get better views from metro cable

The metro stop is 10 mins walk to the entrance, we walked up the steps from there and I am 71 so not very difficult, another 10 mins.
The model village is nothing special but good views all around Medelin from the viewing platform.
Best to go morings if possible as usually clearer skies and better visibility.

Spend the late afternoon there, walking around or simply do nothing. Wait for the sunset and the night to come. Beautiful night view.

Can take a taxi from Metro Exposiciones station or simply walk up (it will take you 30 mins or more). I took taxi and it costed me about 6000 cop (depends on the traffic).

You can take a taxi here, but we walked up instead. There are stairs up and there are also trails all around the hill. We were lucky enough to run into two nice locals out walking their dog who lead us on a trail all of the way up. Once at the top, the views of the city are fantastic. Pueblito Paisa is also at the top and that is an interesting little place to walk around and buy snacks or souvenirs.

On foot, this is quite the hike and the winding staircases that lead up to the summit of the park are certainly exhausting. If you have any mobility issues, you will need a taxi to drive you to the summit. Once at the top, there's a museum (which I didn't explore) and the recreated village, complete with church, that is charming and well worth seeing. The views across all aspects of Medellin is also a great bonus. Free to visit, although there is a fee for the museum. The trek down again is a lot easier.
