This is a free attraction in the center of Medellin. The tours are fairly self guided. Many of the signs are in both Spanish and English. But when in rome......Of note English is not widely spoken in Colombia. So even at the higher end establishments,...More

This is one of the best free botanical gardens that I have visited. You are in the city but it is quiet but also full of locals and the children. It is easily accessible by metro.

This is a beautiful park to take a nice stroll. It has zones with different plants based on climate and family. You can see some unusual plants and flowers. We enjoyed seeing the iguanas hidden and walking around. Expect to spend 2-3 hours if you...More

Lovely place to stroll and escape from the city. No orchids in bloom when we were there but in season they should be delightful.

The gardens are free, which was nice. More trees and plants than flowers, but still pretty. Very peaceful, relaxing and well maintained. Beautiful spot for a picnic or just a nice walk. The restaurant is decent, as well.

This tax payer park is free to the public, which is nice. There is some good information on some of the local plants in the area (much of it in Spanish but there are English translations sometimes) and the restaurants are good (In Situ). However...More

While not the most impressive botanical gardens that I've seen, this is a great afternoon activity to rest, explore, and take in nature in the middle of Medellin. Also, it's super close to the Explora and other key cultural places in Medellin. Be sure to...More

According to the rules they ask you to leave your pets at home, so I would say no. There are however several feral cats that we saw lounging around, but these were not pets. I can't post the link here but if you go to the... More
