Cor' Blimey, what a journey! Went without any expectations and left with nothing but great memories and a beaming smile from cheek to cheek haha. For free, you have the opportunity to see many different flora and fauna, and really engage with some local animals. I was a little disappointed I never spied the Sloth within the foliage, but I... Nothing very special about this place, just a nice break from busy city. We saw turtles and iguanas.

The Botanic garden of Medellin is free and close from the metro station. It's a very nice walk around, with a little pond and iguanas all around that you can spot very easily. The locals are coming to relax, have dates, have walks with their family, it was very relaxing and good to see some of the typical flora /... More

Nice gardens and the chance of seeing a sloth (We didn't). A pity they can't seem to manage the feral cats which are everywhere. I'm sure the cats are loving all the lizards and birds on offer.

Not was I was expecting of a botanical garden (no explanations, botanical names etc.) but a great spot to walk and hang around. Very crowded on a Sunday but this was part of the fun.

There is no entrance fee to enjoy this green space that is smack dab in the middle of the city and showcases local trees and plants in their natural settings. We enjoyed walking around the park and saw iguanas, turtles, water fowl, plus a variety of colorful birds. The butterfly house was unfortunately closed the day we were there. The... More

I've visited botanical gardens in many different countries, and usually there is a lot of interesting imported flowers, plants, trees that are cultivated. The Medellin gardens seem to me more like a park, with many native trees, plants growing naturally, not too many flowers or interesting plants. However, it is very much worth a visit to escape the crowds of... More
