It's free and it's a nice place to stroll around and see South American plants or just sit and relax in a garden setting. We spent just over an hour there but could have spent longer so if gardens appeal to you or you want to want to relax for a while visit the gardens.

We visited here to see the iguanas and other animals but none of them were around when we visited which was disappointing. It is perfectly nice for a walk around to look at trees and flowers and to kill an hr

This is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. It's free to the public and really nice. There is place to eat if you decided to stay a longer time

When I went, the butterfly house and orchids were both closed, which were the two things I was looking forward to the most. It was still nice to walk around. There were some ducks and iguanas.

We had a really pleasant time exploring the gardens and having lunch at In Situ in the park, but if youre planning to do kuch hiking and being outdoors in the rest of Colombia then you'll probably see more impressive and dramatic flora 'in the wild', so to speak.

The Jardin Botanico de Medellin is easily accessible by bus or metro. It is a big park free access. There are some display of flowers, pond and all kinds of tree and flora to explore.

Jardin Botanico (the botanical garden) is a place full of greenery for the city inhabitants and any visitor. Its peaceful atmosphere and fresh air attract many families, groups of friends, and children every day. The old people do physical exercises, walk around or chat, couples lie or sit on the grass, youngsters have picnics, the children follow their parents, and... More

A trip to the gardens offers nice respite from the city. The park is not big but you can easily amble around quite easily and kill some time. It nice to see a green place in Medellin.

We were disappointed by this park which has little to do with real botany. The plants are not very interesting and are poorly labelled. If you want a botanical garden, go to the excellent one in Bogota instead.
