Hello my name is David I was born in Medellin Colombia. At the age of 9 in 1986 My family moved to the United States fleeing the violence of the time here in Colombia, in order for us not to loose our visa and residence status we would come back anywhere from 1 month to 3 months every year, so I was able to live both life styles, the grim times of Medellin in the 80s and 90s and also the great time of America at the time. in 2001 I came about a great opportunity to invest in Medellin and was able to come back and stay here for good realizing that it has taken a 180 degrees turn around and it had become a great and safe place to visit and discover, in South America. So let me share with you! Show you around this beautiful, transforming, cultural, magnificent and growing city

David Rendon is the best host we could have asked for! This is the 2nd trip we have used him as a host and anytime we come to Colombia, no matter the city, we will use him again! He is an amazing planner, very organized and communicates very well with everyone.
Our 1st trip he hosted my friends and I in Medellin, and he was so good we decided to have him for an event in Cartagena! Whether you are going on a family trip, couples trip or a girl/guy trip he 100% is your guy.
There is no planning that he can not assist with and we all feel safe being led by him in a foreign country.
I can not say this enough; If you plan a trip to Colombia, David Rendon is your guy!

Start to finish, we had the most incredible time in Medellin with David as our guide. He took care of us from airport pickup to airport drop off, over the course of four days and nights in February, 2022.
The trip was a surprise for me (I know, I'm so lucky I can't believe it myself) and I had no real knowledge of the city. On the ride from the airport, David quickly began filling me in. He is a fount of knowledge about Colombia's history, culture, government, geography, art scene, nightlife, etc. He is also incredibly warm, kind, funny, and trustworthy.
During the trip my fiance proposed to me and David took us ring shopping all over the capital. I came home with a stunning emerald. He connected my fiance to a local street artist and so we also came home with a painting. We loved the city and David so much that we are hoping to come back with all our friends and family to get married there.
I want to note that I am not a super adventurous risk taker, and I think my parents were shocked and very worried that I was in Medellin, Colombia at all. However, we felt very safe in this beautiful, lush city because of David's reassurance and expertise, and with commonsense precautions. Medellin is benefitting from all kinds of government investment and it is currently cleaner, more beautiful, and significantly less menacing than our hometown of San Francisco, CA.
This was the trip of a lifetime, and we will always remember it and David. What a lovely human being he is! And I challenge anyone, anywhere, to show me someone who is better at his job, which he clearly loves.

We worked with David throughout our time in Medellin. At first we worked with him just for transportation to and from the airport, but he became an amazing guide for our entire time in the city. He was full of knowledge, history, insights, and recommendations. Our day trip to Guatapé was a highlight. David was awesome.

The tour was great! David was amazing. Picked us up from our airbnb. Was very punctual and his car was super nice. He was very knowledgeable. He was able to explain the art work and graffiti in detail and the meaning behind it. We did thr pablo tour and then the communa 13 tour too. He also gave us good places to visit, eat drink. We could not have seen and know the history of this city without david. Very much recommend him and will be using him on our return to Colombia. David is trustworthy,speaks fluent english and very fun and down to earth. You can ask him anything :)

If you want to experience Medellin, and learn about its history, this is the place to go with. David is amazing guide, great person and he loves what he does, I thought that I knew about this beautiful city of eternal spring but I was wrong. Book with David and enjoy the ride, he will take you to lots of places that there is no way you could explore by yourself. I am definitely coming back and will definitely book another tour with him.

David was amazing! Super knowledgeable of the complicated history of this beautiful city and its people. David was incredibly accommodating, had water for us, acted as photographer, and was just all around so friendly. He also had excellent recommendations of things to do, places to eat, and made sure we were making the most of our trip. If you're visiting (or even if you live there!) do any one of his tours and you will not be disappointed! You'll see some of the most wonderful parts of the city while learning a lot in the process. I saw David’s website online and contacted him through what’s app,
He replied my message very quickly and explained everything which was exactly the same as advertised on the website.
He picked us up from my apartment on time,
Was very friendly and from the start me and my friends knew we had a great guide and that we would get on with him throughout the day.
He had bottles of water for us in the car.
And down to the minimalistic his SUV was clean and new
His English was excellent.
David explanation was very thorough,
His knowledge of Medellin and Pablo Escobar was exceptional.
This tour was not just about pablo Escobar but the history of Medellin and how it has evolved.
He recommended us where to go out eating bars clubs etc.
We had a late lunch where David recommended
A restaurant with proper Colombian food.
I had the bandeja paisa a traditional Medellin dish.
(You must try)
He gave us a guide on meeting don roberto Escobar
That his eyes and ears were not great and encouraged us to ask him lots of questions.
Don roberto was very welcoming and wanted to share his story of his brother (pablo)
For everyone reading this you must get on this tour
I can’t fault it one bit,
I rarely give a 10 out of 10 but this was an 11 and beyond.
Thank you david I will recommend you to anyone coming to Medellin.

Señor Lorenzo,
you and your crew, were great as well, very open minded and willing to hear the full history of Medellin which obviously includes Pablo Escobar for better or worst, we can't and shouldn't hide it.
Great to have visitors like you in our city and see the new Medellin.
The doors will always be open for you and your close ones.

Traveling all around the world, and using Tripadvisor for a lot of my tours, I'm always checking reviews. I saw positive reviews so I decided to go ahead and book with 180 degrees. WOW! What an amazing tour. The extensive background and knowledge that David had of the city completely surpassed my expectations. I went with my boyfriend and he was quite hesitant about organized tours but he was so pleased and could not stop talking about it. I would never have been able to do any of that without David, so we truly appreciate the hospitality, kindness, patience, and amount of information and stories you had to share. Extremely safe and lots of fun. I would recommend this to anyone going to Medellin - families, couples, friends, and backpackers. Thanks again!!
