My experience with Salsa Classes in Bogota and Medellin was excellent. I inquired directly on the general website and coordinated the complete itinerary with Aleyda Alvarez. Since my stay in each city would be short she worked on providing me a package that worked around my schedule for each city. I was scheduled for a 2 hr private lesson in Bogota, Medellin and Cartagena. Our first stop was in Bogota Sarai Avila reached out to me to confirm our meeting location. We were set up in a small dance studio that was a perfect size for a private lesson. Her instructions were detailed and fun. She taught us one hour of salsa and one hour of bachata within that time frame we learned a quick choreographed dance. Not only did we enjoy her class but she also took a video of what we learned. That is a great memory for us to look back on but it is super helpful to reference for practive now at home. Our next stop was Medellin with Emily Sánchez. Emily also reached out to us a couple days prior to arriving in Medellin. There was a mix up about getting a private studio or taking lessons at the location we were staying. Within minutes Emily was able to find a studio for us to practive at. Since we were running late we chose to take the classes in the balcony of our hotel. We appreciate how accomodating and patient Emily was with our situation. Emily had us show her what we had learned in Bogota first so she wouln't bore us with those instructions. Emily was quick and fun and really hands on. She definitly showed us moves I didn't think we were ready for but in the end also had a decent hang of them. So that was great! Our final stop was in Cartagena but my partner got sick and we were not able to attend that class. Eventhough we never has chance to meet with Robinson Arteaga, our whatsapp correspondence was pleasant. Overally it was an amazing experience to have while vacationing in Colombia. Writing this review at the middle of the 30 days that I’m spending in Medellin learning how to dance salsa and bachata. My instructor Manuel is an amazing guy and an amazing teacher. He breaks down complex moves so that even Robocop(me) can understand what to do. He’s always observing and correcting my position so I start looking like I know what I’m doing :) He even brought his girlfriend to the class so I can practice with her. Learning very fast with this guy and want to thank him by recommending his services to all of you reading this. Remember: Salsa teacher in Medellin = Manuel 👍🕺😊

We had a salsa night with 20 or so people to learn the basics of the amazing dance. As the first class, we started off with the basics to get the hang of it. We slowly progressed until the instructors gave an incredible show at the end of the night. Very impressive and lots of fun to learn! I would highly recommend it.

We spent a great time learning salsa with our teacher Paola. Since we already had some basic experience we booked some private classes and were able to learn lots of new moves and improve our dancing. 100% recommended!!

I'm in Medellin for three weeks and wanted lessons in Cuban Salsa and Bachata. Emily has been amazing and beyond my expectations - she was patient and got me to improve much faster than I expected. Most importantly she taught me individual moves rather than set choreography so I'm able to string them together.

I had 5 hours of private Bachata classes in a studio in Laureles. My teacher Catalina was very easy going and made me feel comfortable from the first moment on - although I started at 0 Bachata skills. Five hours are obviously not a lot to learn a new dance, but I’m very happpy with what we have reached in that short time 🙂

My boyfriend and I are taking private salsa classes with Catalina and she’s fantastic! We’re complete beginners. She explains all the basics really clearly and also incorporates other exercises to help us understand how to build a connection to lead/follow well. It’s also really convenient that we can take the classes at home. We look forward to learning and practicing more!

I booked a week of solo classes, for two hours a day. My instructor Alejandro was fantastic, I really enjoyed each class. We used three different studio spaces around Medellin, all very cool, and I was surprised by how much I learnt so fast. I would definitely suggest doing something similar for any beginners.

I had private classes with Paola for about a month. She’s a wonderful teacher with great energy and makes sure that you understand steps before moving on to the next ones. If you’re looking for a passionate teacher with a deep knowledge of salsa and it’s various styles, work with Paola!

I’m doing a 10 hours packet with my dance instructor Miguel and I really love it. He is a very gentle, attentive and patient teacher! He’s also a lot of fun and easy to feel comfortable with. The classes are very professional and I’m learning a lot in lady styling, technique and musicality. I totally recommend Miguel!!!
