My friend and I booked the Santa Elena Hiking Tour through Medellín Mountains during our trip to Medellín and it was an AWESOME experience. Esteban was a WONDERFUL guide~very kind, knowledgeable and open. The hike was gorgeous and a great way to get out of the city. I would 10/10 recommend this tour! Thanks Esteban!!

Today i did the Cerro Tusa hike with Medellín Mountains, and just wow. I can not say enough good things about this company. From the point of contact several months ago about wanting to do this hike, Kelly (The owner) has been fantastic in helping arrange the hike for me and also helping me with any other queries i had about my stay in Medellìn. The hike itself is absolute amazing. The hike up is tough, spectacular and hard all at the same time. When you get the top though the views are simply jaw dropping, not only the best views i've seen in this country but the best views i've ever had in my life. All the better with enjoying a Bandeja Paisa at the summit. Now, saving the best bit until last. The two guides, Esteban and Santiago. They were utterly amazing in helping get up and down safely, they made the day even more amazing and not only are they guides, i came away from the day with two new friends. Any one thinking of using this company, stop thinking and book with them. You won't regret it and you'll have such an amazing adventure!

We had the best time seeing Medellin with Esteban. I know he normally does mountain guides/hikes (and I would imagine that would be a great time, too) but through a friend we were put in touch with him for a full day tour of the city itself, and he did not disappoint. Esteban is like the mayor of Medellin- he took us everywhere, on and off the beaten path, and showed us everything. Cant remember the last time I genuinely wanted to keep hanging out with a tour guide- and we would have, too, had it not been Christmas. No better way to see the city/region than with Esteban. A really great day.

I went on a solo half-day Cascade hike with Esteban. This experience was perhaps the highlight of my trip -- if you like forest scenery, swimming and a legitimately demanding hike, this is a perfect trail. I only had a few days in Medellin and this was the perfect length as it allowed to me still use the second half of my day in the city. The price was extremely reasonable and also includes breakfast/snacks -- I never felt like they were trying to hustle/sell me on additional services. The hike itself requires shoes with good traction and resistance to water, as you will have to navigate SLIPPERY rocks and knee-high rapids throughout the hike. The hike winds through a beautiful forest in the heart of the mountains and finishes at a gorgeous waterfall with ample opportunity for swimming. I would say to do/enjoy this hike you ought to be fairly in shape, in addition to having proper footwear. As a Esteban is kind, engaging and works to make you feel at ease. He quickly became a friend, and we hung out together a few days after the hike. The driver, Wiler, was the safest driver I had in Colombia (many risky drivers before this...) Wiler helped me with transport many times during the rest of my time in Medellin, and I will definitely reach out to him again when I return to Medellin. Could not more highly recommend Medellin Mountains as people and as guides: cost-friendly, very kind and incredibly helpful for all your needs in Medellin. I wish I had time to do more outdoor experiences with them, because the Cascade hike was incredible.

It was so nice to get out of the city for a hike, and Esteban couldn’t have been a nicer guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, is fluent in English, and it was a beautiful half day hike. Wish I had more time in Medellin to try some of the other trips. I’d recommend wearing shoes that can get wet AND have good traction for all of the river crossings.
