Good for some relaxing time

This is a place close to the walled city that both locals and tourists could use to simply sit down and relax a little. It is not a must see attraction or anything close but a simple nice open space with trees (and enough shade) to spare some time

A militaristic designed open space

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS - YES
Beyond the walls at the SW corner of the city is an open space dominated by a trio of flags flying from masts - the appearance is both official and militaristic.

There are 3 plinths - two clearly militaristic and one that from a distance looks like a sarcophagus. That plinth alone is worthy of closer inspection.

The ‘sarcophagus’ is a Geobukseon (kobukson), or medieval Korean 'turtle ship', which represents Colombia’s participation in The Korean War (as the sole South American nation to do so).

It is not a priority place to visit in Cartagena

Every city usually has a nice open space for walking and relaxing. I only passed by it and I did not want to spent my time there, as there were so amazing things to see and to do at the historic center of the city. The park is located just outside of the walls of the south side.

Good for bird watching

Get outside the wall for a bit and visit this park.
Took a short walk through here one morning and saw several species of birds and some pretty views. Be sure to look in the trees and on the ground for birds. Bring your camera for some photo ops of scenery, etc.
