My experience in pure kitesurfing was very good. I had my first kitesurfing lessons, I managed to learn about the sport, technically and had the opportunity to practice it. The classes are very good, the teachers are very skilled at understanding the student and have all the patience. I recommend to make sure that there is good wind in the area before going, to take advantage and enjoy the classes

Such a nice spot to learn. Instructors were friendly and helpful, and obvious experts at what they do. I had a ton of fun learning and was able to get on the board and do decent in about 4 hours, but your results may vary.
Would absolutely recommend you to try this school out if you're in the area!

In the last week of December 2019 I spent one week in Manzanillo del Mar (Cartagena) to learn kitesurfing. It was my first time and I had a wonderful time.
I started as a beginner and took private lessons in the Pure Kitesurf School. The Pure Kitesurf School has great instructors who are very skilled, patient, very friendly, helpful and multilingual. It offers a very good service and good equipment, too, as well as lessons in Spanish, English, German and Dutch..:-) .
At the beginning you will start with a lot of theoretical information, which you think you will not need, but at the end you will be glad to have taken the time for it. As kitesurfing is not to underestimate at all.
I can fully recommend the Pure Kite School! I definitely want to come back to learn more!

Did my first kiting there and there is just one word to discribe this school "awsome"! All the teachers and as well Christina are super professional and took great care of me and my girlfriend. The equipment is in great condition and the school offers a lot of space to chill after the exhausting kiting. Loved every minute of it and would absolutely recommend coming here either to start or to contuniue with kite surfing!

I took lessons for 2 days. I already had some experience, but wanted a bit of a refresher course. Christina (the owner) and the instructors Were really experienced and good. Also great people to hang out with. The kite school has a nice laid back vibe that is very welcoming to other people and locals. It is on a beach a bit outside of Cartagena, which was nice because there Were basically no other kiters.

I just took 9 hours worth of lessons at Pure Kitesurf and it was great! Ken was my instructor and was VERY patient while I was figuring out how to get up on the board and trying to control the kite. Even when I rode my board out 200m into the ocean and crashed my kite he didn't get mad, but swam all the way out with his own board and dragged me back to shore.
Staff is very professional, and calm which is exactly what you need when you're learning. They were very accommodating with payment, only making me pay after all of my classes were done. Most importantly, they were able to have me up on a board and kitesurfing after 9 hours of classes (granted I still wipe out hard every 150m or so).
Finally I'll just add the school comes into Cartagena every day that there is wind and send a message on Whatsapp to see who's interested in going out to Manzanillo. I stayed at Manzanillo itself to be close but that wasn't necessary and you might have a better experience with nightlife in Cartagena considering it's so easy to get picked up by the school in town. That being said Manzanillo is a cool spot off the beaten path and if you're with a good group of people it's worth staying there for a few days while you learn to surf.

My boyfriend and I accidentilly bumpt into Christina's kite school and how lucky we were! They sqeezed us in last minutes, picked us up from the hostel and tried to adjust their courses to our travelling schedule. Besides the fact that cartagena offers a great spot for kiting, the lessons are just fantastic (and in English or German). I already had some lessons from good organisations in Holland but i learned so much more in just 3 hours with pure kite. And afterwards you can enjoy a beer or lunch for a fair price. If you have the opportunity, GO! Taken the 9 hours course if you're a beginner or private courses/ rentals if your more experienced. It's so worth it!

Pure Kitesurf opened the doors to a wonderful world of kitesurfing for us! We took a group class for beginners just to see how it is and we were thrilled! Also because of Omar, a great instructor. After 9 hrs we could stand up and waterstart, but if we took individual lessons we would probably be professionals :-)

Expansive but definitely worth it!
Great communication, direct and in English (by WhatsApp).
Well arranged with free pick up in good car! And the gear was great too!
David was a great instructor better then back in the Netherlands.
Location right in front of Zion beach house, with private high beach.

No, el shuttle arranca desde Crespo. la escuela queda en Manzanillo del Mar, lejitos de Laguito y a 10 minutos de La boquilla. una playa hermosa, amplia y sin gente y mas viento que la boquilla. vale la pena! Me escribes un WhatsApp cuando lleguen y te pongo en el Chat de Kite donde avisamos a que hora recogemos los estudiantes en Crespo (donde esta el aeropuerto).

Hi there!
It's low season but there is always a bit of wind especially for beginners. Drop me a WhatsApp when you get here and I’ll put you in the Kitechat where we inform about wind conditions and pickup times. Pickup is at Surtimax in Crespo, thats a grocery store every taxi knows. They charge about 6000 Pesos from the Centro.

Cerca hay los Hoteles Kohsamui, Melia, Occidental, Emblema y un Hostel Manzanillo Beach. En Julio es temporada baja perso siempre hay vientesito y si te quedas una semana vas a aprender a hacer kitesurf.
