We had a great time on the 400 Catamaran. From cartagena to Islas including the aquarium.
The boat was great, spacious, clean and more than enough for 9 of us.
The captain and his assistant were always trying to make us feel comfortable.
A great plan in cartagena to see blue teal water and enjoy time with friends.

I’m a visitor from the United States that has traveled to Colombia quite a bit. I’d like to point out that this wasn’t my first boating experience here in Cartagena. I’ve rented many different yachts and boats in the past. Definitely. The catamaran was super clean, the staff was attentive, and you were extremely helpful and welcoming. And in this time of a new normal, staff and accommodations held biosecurity important. Overall it was a great experience. I would recommend it to any traveler interested in a luxury experience.

I’ll translate below part of my review for my spanish speaking friends.

Definitivamente.

Let me start off by saying a little about the group I traveled with to Cartagena. 14 friends, picky New Yorkers, all with high expectations. I cannot express how Navega Columbia lived up to every single expectation we had and went above & beyond in every way. Every person we interacted with from the booking agent, to the onboard staff, to the captain were so honest and friendly.

We initially rented a catamaran for a full day. During the day, we visited two unbelievable islands. We never felt rushed, which is something we were concerned about when booking. The catamaran was gorgeous and had plenty of room for the full group to relax and unwind. We were very clear about the type of islands and experiences we wanted during the day, and the captain delivered. It was amazing.

On the way back to the dock, the group decided we needed one more boat day. So the next day, we rented a speed boat with Navega Columbia to take us to the Rosario Islands, as it is nearly impossible to make a day trip to Rosario in a day on a catamran. During this trip, the crew took us to very remote, private beaches and also an island where we ate fresh lobster tails while sitting in the ocean under a hut. Like come on! The speed boat was a complete different experience from the catamaran, which was expected. The catamaran allowed for lounging, where the speed boat was strictly used as transport to get us to the Rosario Islands. The speed boat itself was very nice, as well and the group had a blast on it.

We highly recommend this company. They are an honest and very trustworthy company and make sure you are taken care of from beginning to end.

We were really looking forward to our boat trip, but it didn't live up to our expectations. We were hoping to go to Islas Del Rosario, but somehow got convinced not to and drove in a big circle. It seemed our captain and skipper really had no interest in showing us around and driving to Islas Del Rosario. If you do go, definitely go with a plan and stick to it. We ended up having a great day, but are bummed we got swayed by the captain. The 30' boat was very comfortable for our family.

First the good bit. The boat was a decently modern Beneteau 41'. It was well looked after, well provisioned and sailed well. Also, the interaction with the Navega team, in advance of the trip, was efficient, reliable and professional.

But, overall, our trip was very disappointing. We chartered the boat for 5 days, to take us sailing from Panama, through the San Blas Islands, to Cartagena. Our party was me, my wife and our three daughters. Navega provided a crew of 2. I am an experienced sailor.

As we were excitedly dining in Panama City, the night before we were due to go, NC called us and informed us that our timetable was being forced to change. The problem was that, due a national holiday, the relevant government offices were not going to be open for us to get our documentation organized, to be able to leave Panama and cruise the San Blas. They told us that this would produce a two day delay in when we could depart. To their credit, they did offer us an extra day tacked on to the end of the trip, to help off-set the delay. However, due to a date commitment in Cartagena, we could not take them up on the offer. Obviously, they should have known that Panama's largest annual holiday was going to mean the offices were not open. They did not research and plan this properly and it cost us dearly.

Then is got worse, they messed up where they needed to get the documents done and we ended up spending a few hours short of 3 entire days, hanging around in Portobelo and Puerto Lindo, before we could set off to the San Blas Islands. So, of our 5 day trip, we were supposed to spend the first 3 in the Islands, before making the crossing to Cartegena. Now we had wasted all of that Island time. The Island time is the best part of the trip, so I now told them that we wanted to spend our remaining time in the Islands and then go by air to Cartagena afterwards, to get us there in time for our commitments in Cartagena. Given it was completely their fault that our time had been so badly wasted, we naturally assumed they would want to make it right by getting us from San Blas to Cartagena as easily and quickly as possible, to allow us to rescue some of our dream sail. This turned out not to be the case. They ended up only paying for about 45% of the costs of making the trip and only after I has spend much time and effort persuading them to do what was right.

The other huge criticism that has to be made is that our crew spoke NO English. Given we are a family of 5 from California, it is pure craziness that CN did not provide at least one of the crew who could communicate with us. 5 days and nights, on a small boat, with 2 guys who you can't communicate with, is a very frustrating experience. Frankly, it is also dangerous.

We rented a Lagoon 44 catamaran for 6 days and toured Baru, the San Bernardo islands and the Rosario islands. This was the most wonderful sailing experience we ever had (and we had many before). The catamaran was in excellent condition (even with A/C at night), the crew was outstanding (very nice and knowledgeable captain, wonderful and joyful cook --thanks Nena--) and the islands are just a set of jewels.
Very professional organization of everything, with even a very frequent follow up of our trip by the organiser in order to check that everything was going smoothly.
We are already thinking of coming back next year for another similar cruise.
Thumbs up Navega Colombia!

We went with a group of friends to Cartagena, downtown is amazing but beaches in the city are dark, crowded and not very clean so they told us there were beautiful islands close to Cartagena with white sand and coral reefs so we found NavegaColombia and got a catamaran for 3 nights, people in the company are very helpful and it was cheaper than staying in a hotel, boat was beautiful, spacious (4 double bdr), modernly decorated and in perfect condition. The captain was kind and respectful, he kept everything clean, he was even teaching us how to sail, an hour after we left Cartagena a group of dolphins came around the boat, jumping and playing for around 15 minutes! UNFORGETTABLE!
We stayed in Cholon bay one night and then went to Titinpan, Mucura and Islote Islands, paradise, they have a kayak and a paddle board so you wont get bored, we did a great BBQ with the freshest fish.
We'd love to go back to Cartagena and maybe sail all the way to Kuna Yala islands in Panamá (They also have that option)
Totally recommended!
