I booked Duran Duran for my group of 14 and it was an AMAZING day. We did the City Tour and also a walking tour of Getsemani. It was a long day, but Duran Duran's humor kept us entertained. He is very knowledgeable. His transportation bus was very clean. He was professional and prompt when picking us up. Thank you so much for all of your help!

Hello. Thanks a lot for taking time to write this review under the world sircustances. If Gabriel Garcia Marquez were alive, He would write a book to show with grace and optimism how weak we human beings are and how stoically we would all overcome the current crisis. It was nice to meet you. Sincerely Durán Angel Eduardo

This was by far one of the most meaningful and well executed travel experiences I've ever had. Angel was our hilarious and super intelligent guide. He is truly a cultural and literary scholar who has developed such an incredible relationship with the people of Palenque. He has the utmost respect for the history and culture, and his excitement about sharing all of his knowledge was palpable. He and our palenquero host filled us in on the past, present, and future of this unique village, a tiny slice of Africa in the mountains of South America. They lead us through town, covering as much culture, history, and traditions as possible. The hours flew by like minutes. It was such a privilege for people there to share their way of life with us, answer my endless slew of questions. Everyone should get to know this place. Dance there, sing there, eat there, learn there, share there. Duran Duran facilitated the best possible experience for doing so.

This is the first review about this beautiful village name Palenque De Sa Basilio or San Basilio de Palenque. I have been visiting this beautiful corner of Africa in Colombia for over 20 years and every time I go there I always find something new. It is like a magical place where people are very proud of been the first free village from the Spanish crown. Beliefs, customs, gastronomy and much more, makes this a place worth to visit. Thanks a lot for writing about this tour. Sincerely Durán Angel Eduardo

Angel Duran picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the Bazuto Market, we were joined by his daughter Daniella who is learning the business but is already very good. The market itself is chaotic but Angel was an excellent guide weaving us through the stalls, letting us taste various fruits and explaining how Colombians use them in their daily lives. All the while we were picking up the ingredients for the meal we would learn to cook. Once all the shopping was complete, he led us out of the maze back to the car for the short drive to his house, where his wife Maria took over. She is an amazing cook and a patient teacher. We made coconut rice flavored with Panella, a raw brown sugar that added a caramel flavor to the rice. We made a simple vegetable salad. The main course was fish stuffed with vegetables cooked in coconut milk. The second side dish was fried plantains. She also made us a drink that was a mixture of milk and one of the exotic fruits from the market. The end result was one of the best meals we had in Colombia and a great time. Highly recommend this great personal cooking experience
