I could only say average as we only had time to view a couple of the exhibits, very disappointing really. We then had to watch a folk dance presentation which had no explanation whatsoever.

Really enjoyed this spacious and extensive museum set over two floors. Had no idea of the size of the modern navy. The whole thing works really well. The guide (Marisa?) was enthusiastic and superb - wish I had had more cash to tip her but...More

Well-organised displays of the city and region's history in a pleasant historic building. However, as a tourist attraction, it would be even better with English-language sub-text on the displays. Cartagena is a growing venue for European and US tourists, and most do not speak Spanish....More

The museum would have been fairly uninteresting without the tour. Descriptions are in Spanish and displays wouldn’t have meant much without our guide explaining. A lot of military history of the country. And the second floor has interactive experiences some may enjoy.

Excellent museum with many different kinds of interesting displays over two floors of a beautiful historic building. BUT all the commentary is in Spanish, and there is a lot of reading to do to understand the exhibits. Probably not worth it unless your Spanish is...More

Saw so much that its hard to imagine that so much History can be in one place. We went on a shore excursion so not sure of the fee to enter due to our package deal, but once inside we were exposed to all types...More
