The convent is at the top of a hill, offering phenomenal views of the city, from several directions. The history is quite interesting. Definitely go with a guide. The drive up there is on windy roads. It's a "don't miss" excursion.

The Convento opens at 8:30 and if you are one of the first people there before cruise ship tour groups arrive, you basically have the place to yourself. A taxi up to site, waiting up to an hour for your visit and a return trip to your hotel was 50,000p. Entry fee was 11,000p per person. The Chapel is stunning... More

Tou can get a guided tour of the convent as well as one of Forte Felipe for the same price as a taxi ride up and down again. The view of Cartagena was breathtaking from this convent which was in front of the hill. Inside is worth a look too but the view is the main attraction.

Small room but it is a work of art. It wasn't busy when we went so you can take your time to view. Its quite ornate but much smaller than ose in european locations.

Inside, the place is beautiful. And a little collection of currency from around the world along with thing from the Spaniards time. But the best thing is the breathtaking view of the city.

Beautiful views from the convents into the city. The virgin is venerated by the Columbians and the museum is nice and the courtyard sahdy and beautiful

This place additional to the old building offers a beautiful view over the city. The landscape is unique for pictures.

quite disappointing experience: we took a lousy taxi that took us up there driving like crazy through the awful local traffic and dangerous roads and when we got there, a big disappointment: the convent itself is uninteresting and kitsch, and the view is fine but not amazing. don't waste your time

Spectacular views of the entire city! Interesting. No English signs so try and take a tour. An easy taxi ride from the old city.

Yes, there are good views across the City from this vantage point, but this Convent is wonderful inside. Some lovely restored brickwork and arches with trailing plants and colourful foliage. This is an interesting building with an interesting history worth the visit even if there was no view!
