Where should I start? This was a 10/10! There were a total of 8 of us on a girl’s trip to Cartagena for our friend’s birthday. From the start, communication was amazing. Our tour guide Brayan texted my friend to let her know what he looked like so that we would know who to look for in a crowd of people, and as women traveling to a foreign country, we really appreciated it. Brayan was attentive, informative, and FUN from start to finish. We felt safe and comfortable communicating, as Brayan is bilingual and was able to hold conversation with our English-only speaking friends as well. Even after the tour was over, Brayan gave us recommendations for things to do during the rest of our stay and was extremely helpful to us. Fernando (the captain) and Daniel, our snorkeling guide were amazing as well, they know the waters and absolutely know what they’re doing! The tour was tailored to us, which was AMAZING. We got a little bit of history on the way to the snorkeling spot, and then we made our way to Pa’Ue beach club where we lounged, swam, shopped, and had great food and drinks. We decided to stay at the beach club, but Brayan presented other options for us as well, there is so much to do so don’t worry! All in all, if you’re looking for a day of memories, a breathtaking view, fun, and adventure, look no further—this is the place to book!

This boat excursion was so amazing. We had the pleasure of Bryan being our host alongside Daniel our snorkeling instructor and Fernando our boat captain! They were all so friendly, informative and made sure we were comfortable the whole experience. Bryan is bilingual so him being able to speak both Spanish and English was also a huge plus. We docked a this beautiful beach club after snorkeling, where we were able to get lunch, relax, explore and swim on the beach. After that the crew took us around to see other islands and some historical sites. From the moment we got on the boat to the moment we got off Bryan made sure that we were taken care of and felt safe in every environment; me and the other 7 ladies I was with couldn’t have asked for a better experience or crew during this excursion. Thank you Bryan, Daniel and Fernando!!!

We had a private boat tour for the day. We were on No se manana. It was a great trip! The captain was very skilled at riding the waves and stopping when we wanted to swim. They took us to a nice spot to snorkel and then to a beach club. The beach club is Pao Pao. It wasn't great. If I did it again I would have asked to go to another club. I think they must have a deal with the club because they really pushed going there. Communication before the trip was great. It was so nice to have a boat to ourselves instead of a crowded one with strangers

Fantastic day out on the water with Dani and Rodolfo.
They know the area and can tailor the day to what you want to do... Be it a high energy party atmosphere or a relaxing day out on the water snorkeling and lounging in the sun.
We spent the morning snorkeling and then relaxing at a private beach club. Great seafood lunch and then went boozing at a party island.
Easily our best day of the trip, Dani and the office staff communicate clearly and make sure you have the experience you want.
Can't recommend them enough.

Dani was a great guide for our trip to Cartagena! My sister and I told him where we wanted to explore, and what we wanted to see and do for the day and he accommodated our needs. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Cartagena and the islands and made sure we felt secure when visiting the various islands. Easy to communicate with this company and well worth the price. Highly recommend!

Danny and Rodolfo were incredible and made the highlight of our trip. Super knowledgeable and friendly guys, great boat captains. Whatever you’re looking for — snorkeling, fresh seafood, history and architecture, beaches, or just the crystal clear water and views of the islands — they know where to take you and will show you a great time. I can’t recommend highly enough, we had a blast.

We loved our boat day out of Cartagena with Brayan & the crew! They made us feel comfortable & safe. They listened to our requests & tailored the trip specifically to us. It was just my fiancé & I on the boat, with 2 crew members and Brayan served as our English translator, which was perfect. They took us to the Rosario islands for lunch and a swim, and when we requested somewhere more remote, they took us to a beach near Baru, which was peaceful & beautiful. Would highly recommend this trip if you’re visiting Cartagena!

This experience was an absolute nightmare and we are still shaken from the day. Adam sent us off with a reckless crew who didn’t speak a word of English, were rude and impatient. We were on the boat with two small children, the sea was rough and the crew had no consideration about our safety the whole time. On the way back, they ran out of gas, the sea was extremely rough and they stopped the boat in the middle of the ocean to refill with gas, something they could have done when we were docked on a dirty beach just 10 minutes earlier. Instead, my children (6 and 9 yo) were pushed to the front of a dangerously rocking boat alone with no explanation as we scrambled to follow them and understand what was going on. Then the crew filled the gas tank, left us in the front and started the boat with no warning!! We though we were going overboard and clung to the boat and our children for dear life on the ride back. The whole trip was a disaster, with a stop at a rough “snorkeling” area with big waves pushing us out and literally no fish to see anywhere. Lunch was in a decent place but we were rushed out of their by the crew and taken to the dirtiest trashy beach instead. Unbelievable that this tour company is allowed to operate! No wonder Rosario islands is full of reports of accidents and we are just so thankful to have escaped the experience in one piece!

Some facts in response to your statements:
1. We didn't simply send you off. We gave you multiple rounds of information on everything from recommendations for places to visit and safety.
2. The captain and assistant are great at what they do and we have not received an opinion about them even close to what you have described.
3. The boat did not run out of gas.... There was water in the filter and they got it out in 5 minutes or less. The waves were not that rough.
4. I am sorry you didn't see any fish while snorkeling above a large healthy reef.
5. The dirty beach I think you are referring to is Playa Tranquilla and you also have a unique opinion about that location compared to others.
6. I am happy you enjoyed your lunch.
I think we have both learned from this experience. Thanks you and I hope your future excursions are more pleasurable.

Adam (The owner) was with us on this trip and he is just a fantastic person, with a huge heart. He is professional and very knowledgeable about the islands as well is his crew.
The tour was amazing, it was such a pleasure to have been on this tour with Botagena.
When you’re here and want a professional fun gorgeous tour, please book with Botagena. English and Spanish speaking also makes it easier. I highly recommend Botagena!
