It sounds better than it is. Although it’s probably cool to try it, it was quite an uncomfortable experience. The pool of mud is a lot smaller than I imagined and there are loads of people packed into it. There is also a long line...More

A one and a half hour drive around Cartagena picking I up guests then a forty five minute drive out for the trip which was only actually one hour in its entirety. Too many tourists, it reminded me of sheep dipping! Total waste of money...More

It sounds fun to go to an volcano, have a walk on it and lay down in warm mud which is good for your skin. In reality, the tour is very good at exploiting tourists. The walk on the volcano is nothing more then a...More

We only had a day really in Cartagena but I really wanted to go and do the mud volcano. We booked with a tour guide who was at our hostel and it cost us 45000 pesos. We were picked up at our hostel and the...More

Overall, I was disappointed with the volcano. I know that this always comes up as an activity that you must do when visiting Cartagena. However, it is disappointing and overrated. The volcano is really small, it seems like it is man made. The top of...More

Floating in mud is not something you get to do every day. So this is something you should at least try once in your life. It is busy, but cool, so it is worth to wait for your turn to get in the mud If...More

One of the most weird and different experience of my life. You could literally lie down on the surface of the mud like a bed and you'd not sink it at all. if you stand vertically, your feet would not touch the ground and it...More

If the idea of floating over a natural pool of mud, with the consistency of honey, which is so rich in minerals that it does not let you sink seems appealing to you – do not miss Volcan Totumo. Most people would expect a volcano...More

I was not impressed, this is not a real volcano but a hole in the ground. Maybe it has something geothermal going underneath but I would not call it a volcano, looks more like a toy than it looks real. I saw many tourists, both...More
