Truly a great experience.
The exterior setting was great.
With life on the sunset.
Impeccable service and cocktails. Among the best we have tasted.
We wanted to go back but the restaurant was privatized for a wedding.
The guys!!!

Truly an excellent restaurant.
The prices are not low for Colombia but everything was very good.
Thank you for this beautiful moment

Fantastic warm welcome by the host Maria Lucia. That's what any good restaurant needs. What a charming and kind person. I own hospitality businesses in Amsterdam and would be more than happy to take them all with me haha! Lovely spot with great views, great cocktails and great food. I absolutely love Cartagena will definitely come here more often. Keep it up !!!

We watched the sunset at the city wall and went afterwards to this place. At the entrance Linda took care of us and placed us at a nice table. We had some easy bear and a very nice cocktail! The service was excellent-thx Linda! Best place to be around sunset

The location of this place is fantastic. We ere very excited to go there at night to enjoy love music and dinner. We were pleased with the mojito happy hour special (2 for 1), but disappointed with the food section: the food menu is two small pages (all appetizers) while the drink menu was 20 some pages. The band was still setting up so we didn’t get the see the live music, so I can’t comment on that. We chose to leave after our mojitos and have real food somewhere else.

Verdict: probably a great place to party but it’s not a place to enjoy good food and live music.

this baluartes are the place to be in Cartagena. You will get a great view of the beach and the city. The are on top of the wall, they have drinks, food, live music and watching the sunset there is to die for. A must to do in Cartagena. Get there early as after 4 pm it get crowded so you want to get a seat.

My wife and I have been going to Cartagena every year for the past 5 years (a few hours from Miami). We enjoy going to Baluarte because of its superb location within the walled city and because it's an open-air lounge. Being able to look at the beauty of old Cartagena, feel the warm evening and see the stars while having good drinks/cocktails is definitely a big +. Not a place for having food in our opinion. Live salsa and Spanish music at night. Great atmosphere in an open-air location.

This place is great for drinks. Up on the wall of Old Cartagena this place offers one of the best views in town. The place is big, has great cocktails and excellent service. Passed by there many times and there is always a lot of people enjoying the live band. Excellent location to have a cocktail before dinner!

The seabass was delicious! It was cooked to perfection it was buttery and flaky and really nicely seasoned and cooked comparable to some of the best restaurants in the states. The appetizers were very nice as well had the ceviche and the lobster carpaccio and both were very nice. This restaurant in my personal opinion blew Carmen and Alma away as far as food is concerned

On two of our three nights in Cartagena, we had cocktails here watching the sun sink down into the ocean... absolutely beautiful spot for it!
There’s a load of seats and tables set up for people to enjoy a variety of rums and rum based cocktails at the end of a long, hot day. Happy hour is great with 2-4-1 mojitos being extremely popular. It’s from 4-8pm daily.
Service is very good, even when it’s busy. There’s ample staff to cater for the crowds that gather on sunset and stay for the live music that follows.

Our second visit here, the first was as we were walking the Wall, we stumbled onto this wonderful bar in time to see a beautiful sunset.

We were told that they have live music Thurs-Saturday nights, and any night before a holiday.

So, we came back for the Live music which starts about 8-8:30. We caught a bang playing salsa, cha-cha, and Latin jazz.

We dressed expecting the dance floor to be coral rock/concrete, like the Wall, but we're pleasantly surprised that it was a black glazed tile.. though, somewhat sloped to allow rain (and my sweat 😄) to run off it.

It was a beautiful evening, the moon popping out between clouds, occasional warm breezes.. along with, what felt like, 90% humidity. We had a nice time, enjoyed some excellent Mojitos and some great dancing.

There was a cover charge and the drinks were kind of pricy.
