Cafe Havana is a must do place in Cartagena. It has amazing live music nights starting from wednesday till sunday. IMPORTANT: it gets pretty crowded so being early is important to get a table. If it is too crowded you might end up just having a drink and walk out the place!

I am not sure how this place is during the day, but I went at night and it was a great party. 20,000 peso cover charge. Live Cuban band. Everybody was salsa dancing. There was a great mix of locals and tourists. Very lively and positive atmosphere. Everyone from ages 25-65 were in the building enjoying themselves. It gets really... More

Super cool, great old school live band, some serious ambience and stronggg cocktails (no really, I couldn't finish my mojito)! Packed to the brim by the time we arrived just before midnight - huge bar with little space around it to dance but hey, adds to the atmosphere and charm of the place. Be aware that after a certain time... More

The band was sublime! 15 or so musicians going HAM. I don't know any of the songs or how to salsa, but after a few drinks the atmosphere assists you in feeling like you've done it all your life. Really mixed crowd but everyone is having an absolute hoot. It is crowded and dancing areas are small but I'd say... More

Amazing place to hang out and dance. It is a little small compared to the number of people the let in. My friend and I went on a Saturday night and the place was packed to the brim. The live band was fantastic and played with such enthusiasm that you would be forced to move to the beat. I took... More

My husband and I came here for drinks and dancing after dinner and absolutely loved it. Get there before 10:30 to get a seat (we sat at the bar). The music started up just after 11:00. The mojitos were amazing and the live music was great.

It was a really cool bar with a fantastic band. The really large bar in the middle does take up a lot of space however, making it quite crowdy

Drinks are pricier than other local bars, but you're paying for the ambience and history. Get there around 10 to get a spot to sit, the band starts at 11, and the place is packed by midnight. Enjoyed dancing & meeting folks from all over the world!

Only place in old town with real cigars! Very good service, nice little pool in the middle to dip your feet into and there is live music too.

I went there twice... I totally recommend it when they have a salsa band playing. You're going to experience the real salsa night, lots of locals, real dancers and great music!
