The pink sea is found In the department of Bolívar is the village of Galerazamba, which is part of the municipality of Santa Catalina. The place has a great history and its salt flats steal the whole show, since they provide the waters forming the intense pink sea, being a natural phenomenon it has a pink hue depending on the season, the season of the pink sea is of December to April. Cartagena de Indias is a beautiful colonial city, rich with history. I've gone there a couple of times in my life, but everytime I leave I know for sure I will be back. The sea food is delicious and their "Arroz con coco", coconut rice with raisins, is to die for. There is a castle and many fortresses spread around the city which gives it a specially attractive and nostalgic feeling to it. The most I enjoyed were watching the sunsets from top of the city's walls, as the sun goes down over the Caribbean the sky lights up in a magical display of colors. I definitely recommend this enchanting city to everyone. It's a trip you'll never forget.
