What people are saying
be careful if you are a foreigner

I was there with another european looking friend. We wanted to spend a nice saturday evening at this place and it was recommended by locals to be funny. But we had a bad experience. We went on stage to dance and started to get in contact with a group of young people having fun and dancing around in the middle of the dance floor. After 2 min some girls of this group where already dancing with us and 2 min later a waiter appeared offering a bottle of aguardiente to us and the group. The waiter says it was for free, and then I asked why. He told me because we were so a nice group having fun here. But he wanted see me or my friend braking the security-seal of the bottle. As you know in colombia you have to be really carful with that, so I asked one of the group to open the bottle (Break the seal). But no one wanted to. So I started to be suspicious… and told them that I will not open that bottle, neither me or my friend. So the waiter took the bottle away and the whole group ignored us afterwards. I first thought it was perhaps a trick to try to drink for free (and let the foreigner pay), but when I asked a security guy if this was normal in this club to give bottles of hard alcohol for free, he answered me clearly no and told me I should talk to the representative of the club this night: Juan David Garcia. So when I came back to my place the waiter passed by and said it was for free without me asking him something. Later I went to the pay desk and asked to talk to Juan David Garcia and the woman told me, she would inform him about the fact that I want to talk to him. I went back to my table to wait. Nothing happened. And after asking 3 times he appeared at my table and the first thing he said, it was for free…. So it proves that the administrative part of the club was part of the "foreigner-take-money-out-startegy". After that at another table I got some drugs but in my beer but didn't touched the beer anymore and left the club. So you should better go with a group of locals to avoid such experiances. They offered us "for free" a bottle of aguardiente after we ordered a bottle of rum. They told us it would be free,
