Very friendly staff and a well organized audio tour, I learned so much! Highly recommend for any lover of movies.…

Had a great experience here. Avid cinema fan, and particularly in Colombian cinema. It was fascinating to learn about everything from cameras used throughout the century, to press releases and learning about prominent Colombian directors. Also got to see some clips on an old projector (I think it was with 10mm film?). Staff were passionate and enthusiastic which was lovely and more than happy to answer any questions. Please do go if you can!…

I visited Caliwood Museum on a recent trip to Colombia after learning about the films of Andres Caicedo, Luis Ospina, and Carlos Mayolo, who subsequently coined the Caliwood movement in the 70s and made political satire films about the country. The museum includes a variety of vintage projectors and cameras, which are explained by an audio guide during the tour. Among the many gems here are Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s personal projector and a film poster for Victor Gaviria’s ‘La Vendedora De Rosas’. The tour ends with a screening of 8mm classics. It was really enriching to learn about the nascent era of the film industry in Colombia through this time-warp of a museum. Definitely recommend!…
