Great spot poor signage

We were looking for a spot to visit on our last day in Barranquilla before catching our flight home. I had seen pictures of the park, but none of the locations matched where we actually went. Herwin was a great guide and it was a great informative trip. Tour was about 1 1/2 hours. Great little day trip.

At this time the park is closed to visitors, there is virtually no water in the mangroves, due to the extended drought conditions here in northern Colombia.

I hired trip to this place wihich was a good organized by a taxi driver I met in santa Marta,
it´s a mangroove forest with nice lakes where you can see ocean birs and reptiles. Its a nice place to vist out of the gringo triail.
