We went to the island on the first day of the Spring Festival. In comparison to the city centre, the place virtually assaults you by its quietude and absence of crowds.
We paid 30 yuan per person in total for a ferry ride, back and forth, and visiting the island itself. Was it worth it? Truth be told, not really.
Yes, it is a nice bit of nature, there are a pseudo bonsai garden,a vanilla Chinese temple, a number of bridges with names like "A bridge of 9 turns" - quite a mouthful for what it is, a quaint building and towers standing sentinel... Also, there's an amusement park that looks like some remnants dating back to he heyday of Pripyat in Ukraine - a bit of post-apocalyptic atmosphere is definitely present.
Some of the attractions worked, some didn't, same applied to the restaurants - though, it might've been due to the spring festival, but I can't really imagine the place bustling in summer and all the attractions and places whizzing into a mint condition.
The only attraction I tried was a shooting gallery - a makeshifty place, where a made in-China gun fell apart right in my hands, which was somewhat amusing.
There are lots of benches and lawns there to sit down and relax, read a book etc. - but also lots of stagnant water and unsightly parts.
The other part of the island was blocked off (for no apparent reason, that's also partially why it left us infused with a feeling of being in the Eastern part of Berlin), we never managed to get there.
All in all, it is a nice green place; just a short boat ride away from the city centre, but middle-of-the-road and not all it's cracked up to be.

I went here with my girlfriend at night and it was a relaxing spot that made for a good date night. The island wasn't very busy which was a bonus. Basically, there are 3 sections to the island....a park/pond area, an amusement park (each ride charges individually, around 20/25 rmb each), and a water park (150 rmb entrance fee). There are also some restaurants and a hotel at the end. An easy way to access the island is to take the ferry located on JiangBin Road, which is included in the 25 rmb entrance fee. We plan to go here again, maybe during the day next time.

I think this place is an investment of a few Wenzhou major factory owners. There is a private ferry to take to the island. I have been there two times, I believe both times it was not fully open to the public yet. The restaurant was amazing, many of the dishes were creative and/or imported. One memorable dish I had was a half cow head. Exactly what it sounds like, a half of a cow's head, cut lengthwise, face meat and everything. Very delicious!

It's supposed to be one of the most famous islets of China. That sets the bar quite high. Too high maybe. Never the Nevertheless I enjoyed the visit for it is a place to be among Chinese while at the same time it's a nice and green place. Nog cars, which is also a big plus.

Nice walk around the island, there's an amusement park, water park and just lots of nice views. There's a pagoda and temple too! (like everywhere else in Wenzhou). Because I'm very foreign-looking (I'm blonde), I got to take a lot of pictures with locals. Scored some Wechat numbers too. Also dressed up in traditional Chinese clothes for 20rmb and got some hilarious dumb tourist pictures. I recommend especially if you have kids or a large group.

It's worth a visit if you are in the area. Nice architecture and park. Have to take a ferry to get in.

In the wealthy business orientated city of Wenzhou, sadly very little is developed for tourism. Perhaps at one time, the citizens or developers thought to develop this island as there are many derelict hotel/conference/resort/amusement sites and even abandoned cars. A large tourist ferry takes you for a 5 minute ride across the river to the revolutionary martyr museum area. Upon debarking, to the right is the ghostly former British ambassador's home with a large grey wall to block your view. A short walk to the left is the island's restaurant where you can even get a decent cup of coffee besides tasty local Chinese dishes. There's also a small formal garden where you can take a 10 rmb shuttle ride. Some local people were shooting wedding or traditional dress photos by the garden lake. Take your translator if you're not fluent in Chinese. Did we enjoy the visit? We did, but we thought what a disappointment. Wenzhou should look at Fuzhou or other cities to see quality tourism development. This city could be a gem with all the canals, etc.

I was there in April and throughly enjoyed my outing. There are lots of places to walk around and several restaurants to choose from. The amusement park was closed. As I am both an elder and blonde, I attracted a lot of attention. There were many photo ops as a result. The ferry ride is short and rather funky.

Wenzhou is very proud of this pretty and pastoral island. They say people haven't visited Wenzhou if they have not gone to Jiangxin. When we were there multiple groups of local school kids were touring about with their teachers. It's a cool place to stroll around and relax. No cars, clean and green.
