Interesting place to visit nearby Ningbo. Old temples where there are amazing statues, small peaceful lakes and gardens. The visit doesn't take long time end you walk around you can the the daily life of the monks who live inside.

Everything that you'd possibly want from a Buddhist temple hidden in the mountains. It's, large, old and still fully operational with chanting monks, incense, bamboo forests and fish ponds. Lovely place.

My Chinese friend kindly drove me there. Took about 40 mins but well worth it. Peaceful and Japanese zen-like atmosphere. Very well preserved and properly signed/ operated. Lucky to saw Sakura (cherry blossom) there too. The pagoda was under renovation so no climbing though.
