It is good to see that old cultures are not swamped by modern city towers, but kept as a history of the city. We did not get the opportunity to enter and see inside, but the lovely gardens and architecture makes this a special place...More

I love this pagoda in downtown Haishu district of Ningbo, but I always wonder what it might be like if the 1949 revolution had never happened... would there be elderly people coming here to burn incense and pray? Would the eaves and building be more...More

A lovely old pagoda that's been trough much. It is just a pity that they have surrounded it with an awful mall... I know that in China old meets new but I just have a feeling they went too far in this paricular case.

This is why many of us visit China, to see the architecture and learn about its past. Well worth checking out as you walk around the city.
