In terms of food experience you will not miss much if you do not go there but while strolling through the crowded Chunxi shopping malls this is a great place to have a rest and have a meal. The underground floor has a lot of souvenir and handicraft shops.

This is a very, very special indoor food court that is decorated in the very old Chinese style. It looks like an old-fashioned pedestrian street that is flanked by many small restaurants and shops.
It has a formal name of: Chunxi Square Tang and Song Dynasties Delicious Food Street. It is a long corridor with a large food court in the middle with some entertainment too. In the evening, it is very busy with folks eating all kinds of food. Wow, so many choices from spicey maindishes to sweet local desserts. Amazing variety of dishes on a budget as well as some souvenir shops that have local packaged eats and things to take home.

I went to have chengdu style wontons "long chao shou" since I'm not a big fan of spicy foods. The food was so good, so fresh, and there's sth for everyone! The environment is pretty clean although I wouldn't use the bathrooms there. The servers speak no English whatsoever so you may have to just point at the pictures. In most restaurants they take your order and then they ask you to pay first, so don't be surprised.

So many taste tempting styles but predominately the Sichuan Hot Pot is what they do well. Beautiful fresh meat such as lamb beef and pork and a good variety of vegetables. The beer was cold and cleansing. The restaurant owner was very welcoming and friendly.

Just walk around and found it by chance. We have no times to try the foods yet but will do when we come back to Chengdu next time.
