Easy day hike!

Easy to get to using line 2. The hike was shorter than I expected, and a bit less natural than I thought, but still enjoyable.

How to get there: actually i went there twice but ended in 2 different places by accident. 1 spot: Metro 2 to Longquanyi— out of the metro just stay on the main road and walk 20 min straight ahead, you will see a sign “yangtianwo" with a small moutnain and stairs on your way.keep following. 2 spot : once out of metro , very close main bus station: 872/870 to the Hometown of the peach blossom. 10min bus in the mountain, and you can have a walk ( for us it was getting down because we stopped at the tourist center: from there they indicate all the scenic areas) 。it is really nice to have a little hike around the peach trees, nice smell, flowers, not too much people its cute.

Not what you expect! You exit the station expecting a rural setting (Like Damianpu station on your way there) but when you arrive you exit & realise you're still in the sprawling city. I thought there'd be a walking track 20mins down the road but Longquanyi station is at the centre of a major road artery of the city here.
Out there, there are no signs from the station or directions anywhere to the mountain. Once I finally found where to go, I discovered there are no hiking/walking trails from the base of the mountain or up there whatsoever!
It's all winding main roads up/down the mountain with speeding cars/bikes & busses overtaking on U bends - you def can't walk/hike anywhere here. Dissapointing.

When you arrive it's a 30min 'drive' to the base of the mountain from the metro station Longquanyi, then the 'drive' onto Longquan Lake is a further 20km on. I wouldn't bother going via public transport then taxi, it's certainly not worth the effort or even hiring a car. You'd be lucky to find a taxi driver that knows of Longquan Lake aswell (surprisingly many didn't!)

The tea houses & restaurants were closed along the winding main road up there aswell (& it was a Saturday!)

It appears to be that a lot of building work is going on especially around the main junction at the base of the mountain. It was just horrible. The council are obviously in the process of commercialising the whole area - the shiny brand new metro station is just literally finished out there & like everything newly built in China it's huge! Fancy hiking, definitely stick with Mt Qingcheng for now..

To reach Lonquan mountain you must catch Metro Line 2 to Lonquanyi, go out exit D and then walk 20 minutes straight down the road to the start of the track. From there it is a two hour walk through hills covered in Peach trees, Banana trees and Australian Eucalyptus. The walk rises to an altitude of approximately 800 metres. On the way you will also see tea houses, agricultural land, a small lake and exercise areas. The walk is also suitable for children 5 years upwards, as there were many children around that age walking with their parents.
